DH and I are deciding between two vacations (without kids) in Februrary....what would you choose?

Option 1) a 6 night cruise on the Independance (Royal Caribbean) BIG ship. We've been on this before and it was AMAZING. The only port that is new for us would be Belize.

Option 2) 3 nights at Disney World (on points) and a 4 night Bahamas cruise on a smaller ship, which I don't think as many activities.

Also, Option 2 is about 1200 dollars cheaper....but that's becuase it is a smaller ship and also because of the points and because we already have our Disney passes.

Thoughts?

Wow....really tough choice! I LOVE DISNEY, but I also love to cruise, especially with Royal Caribbean, which is a great cruise line.

I'd probably choose the cruise. I actually enjoy the larger cruise ships because they offer lots of different things to do and we are never bored. I'm not a real Bahamas fan (even though we've done the Disney Cruise and LOVED that!); I'd probably opt for staying on the ship anyway. So it would be great if that ship offered lots of diversions! Also, great weather in February at WDW is not a sure bet, but the cruise is probably sailing into warm waters and weather. Just my two cents....enjoy whatever you decide!

Wow....tough choices. I think I'd go with the 6-day cruise on RC. You will have a wonderful time. You can always visit WDW when you travel with the kids.

No matter which you choose, you will have a great vacation. You can't make a bad choice.

Let us know what you decide!!!

We would pick the RCL cruise. We've never been to Belize and our next western Caribbean cruise will include that port. Can you make the RCL cruise any cheaper? Look around for cruise deals!!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I would take he Disney option. Have some fun in the parks and then, a small ship is PERFECT for relaxing as there are not as many activities to clutter your day.

I agree with Ed. You get a little of both...plus it's cheaper!

I think I'd save the money and do WDW followed by the Cruise. It would be like having 2 vacations.

You'll have a great time whatever you decide. Let us know. :)

Belize is great - have been there twice and would go back - did the cave tubing on christmas eve one year and did the river cruise and Mayan Ruins this year. We went in Feb and the weather was great - stopped at Roatan, Cozumel , Belize and Key West ( couldn't tender into the private island due to high winds or something). I would choose the cruise and go to Disney when the weather is a more of a sure thing. I just don't think 4 nights on a cruise is enough although for the right price I would do it.

Ugh - as it turns out, the flights aren't in our favour for the cruise. It is MUCH cheaper for us to fly into Orlando than Fort Lauderdale (out of Toronto), so we have decided to go with the Disney/4 night cruise option. Unfortunately only SSR is available, but we'll take it! :) We loved our time at SSR last time, but we were interested in trying something different.

Darn, now I'll have to obsess for a few more months over more ADRs, LOL.

I'd absolutely go with WDW, especially if I already did the same cruise. A trip to WDW, for us, is NEVER the same vacation. There are so many things, even after 10 years of going, that we haven't done!

This November, I plan to use the Spa at SSR, have breakfast at Boma and stay at Kidani all of which I've never done before.

Also, February is gorgeous in WDW, our favorite time to go.
