Okay all I can get is mod in Sept w/ free dining at CBR, so I am wondering if I should wait and go in December.....Please tell me all opinions and why.

Thank you!!!!

I have been in both months, in Sept it can be very hot and humid. Dec depending on WHEN you are going can be cold, or nice...that one is a coin toss. The CBR thou is GREAT! So I think it depends on what you want to do, Dec has the MVMCP, Sept has the free dining. So, I guess if you like it HOT go in Sept, if you like it if'ey then go in Dec and see the christmas decrations!

Cannot lose here!;)

Ive been there both times. I prefer Sept. over Dec.

In Sept (depending when you go) you can go to MNSSHP (which my mom and I liked better than MVMCP.) We also like warmer weather MUCH better, when we were there in Dec. our average temps were 45 degrees - waaaaay to cold for us (funny I know, we live in PA) The crowds were significantly lower in Sept, we were there Dec 16-23 and it was PACKED my mom had a panic attack in Fantasyland due to the crowds.

The highlights in going in Dec that we will miss is the Osborne Spectacle of Lights - it was absolutely breathtaking! and visiting the resorts to see the decorations (which we did a lot of to avoid the crowds in the parks)

Is CBR the only resort you got? I just booked this morning for CSR and also got availability at POFQ an POR from 9/9 to 9/15. It may be that your dates are different.

We have been twice in September and twice in December. We have attended MVMCP 4 times and MNSSHP once. While I would go to WDW every year in December & do MVMCP, if our budget allowed, I can't say that I would go out of my way to do MNSSHP again. We have no kids and while the MNSSHP parade was wonderful, the fireworks did nothing for me. MVMCP has amazing fireworks and to see it snow on Main Street is just pixie dust perfection.

September is HOT and HUMID! December is much more comfortable.
September has love bugs, which can be a icky sticky mess. December has Pop Warner.
September is very low crowds. December crowds are picking up because it's so much fun!
September offers free dining, so ADR's can be hard to get. December offers Candlelight Processional dining packages, which can make Epcot ADR's hard to get.

Ok, if I had to choose which time to go next year, it would be December again. I love the holidays and WDW just makes it so much more special for the two of us. Happy planning! Maggie

Easy question: December hands down. The decorations throughout the entire WDW resort is breathtaking. Beats the heat & humidity of September....and no xmas decorations to boot. December: period!:teacher:

September because it is cool and it has less people there in Sept than in Dec

We've been twice in Sept and our next time might be at the beginning of December.

I think the crowds will be about the same if you go the first 10-15 days of December as in September.

The pluses of September are: free dining, low crowds, super hot weather (if you like that) and if you go towards the end, going to MNSSHP and the Food and Wine Festival.
The minuses of September are: very hot weather/muggy, lovebugs, hurricane season

December would be so cool, both weather wise and because of Christmas!

I think you can't go wrong either way although my vote would be for December :goodvibes

September, because you're getting free dining. Plus, the crowds are low. December is a great time to visit too, but the free dining is what puts me over the edge for September.

September - warm enough to use the pool, water parks and water rides
not too crowded
free food

December - warm during the day and drops at night (more clothes to pack)
WONDERFUL Christmas decorations
1st week in December isn't usually that crowded

I have done both, but I'd pick September.

As both a December and September veteran, I have to disagree with you. September is way less crowded than early December. I've been in the first three weeks of September (different trips) and the first two week after Thanskgiving since 2001 and September crowds (even with the free dining the last two years) are nothing compared to December. In fact, we are giving up December trips because of the crowds!

hum, I have been to WDW at Least 10 times the first weeks of Dec and have found them to be the BEST tiems to go, I have never waited in line for anything! :confused3

I am really not qualified to answer this since I haven't gone either--However, we are going this year at Christmas and when trying to decide WHEN to go either Dec or January we had a lot to consider.
For us we needed to decide what kind of trip we wanted to take. For us it is a memorable one. We booked enough days so that there will be no need to rush around and worry about the crowds. We thought going at Christmas for us is a once in a lifetime thing and this was the year we decided to do it.
Sept and Dec are so different so you need to figure out what kind of Vacation you want a low season summer or high season Christmas:santa: God luck

:tinker: One trip a year is always Sept as that's when the pin event is. :sad2:
I much prefer Dec and will be taking a Dec trip in 2008. Disney at Christmas is ooo Magical :santa: :cheer2: pixiedust:

Hey WDWVillain, it looks like we'll be at AKL at the same time. :thumbsup2 You'll notice us with our Spurs 2007 NBA Finals Championship gear on.:dance3: :cool1:

Dec. here, less heat and the decorations are great.

I like December, but any reason to go to DisneyWorld is reason enough to go. Have been there in July, August, September, and December. Hot weather does not bother me, but in December, there seems to be a little extra magic, especially the closer you get to Christmas.

Although I have not been that many times in December, I do agree with this post. I have been to Disney several times during this time of year (usually a week or two before Christmas) and the crowds were thin when we were there. Also, it's just a magical time of year. The decorations are beautiful and people just seem to be in better spirits.

I did the free dining in Sept. a couple of years ago. My DH said never again. It was too hot and humid for us (we get enough of that here in Arkansas). And, I guess because of the free dining, the crowds were a little heavier than I thought they would be. The free dining was a major plus, however. If there were more than just the two of us, it might be worth it.
