What would you buy: Camcorders

My DD loves to make little movies... uses my iphone now... I am thinking about getting her a simple camcorder for Christmas but wondering if anyone has any suggestions!!!! I have done a little research but still unsure of what to get her... HELP... going Christmas Shopping on the 19th!! Yep thats me waiting for the last second

are you looking for a real cam? or more of something for her to just play with? they have little handheld digital video recorders at walmart/best buy and stuff for like 40-50 bucks.
but i always recomend the jvc harddrive cams, i LOVE mine, and its super easy to use, small, and very easy to put on the computer, or burn straight from the camera.

One of the ones I was looking at for my son was the Panasonic HCV10 which has a 63x optical zoom and was great as far as no shaking when zooming. It didn't have the greatest still picture quality but video was really good. My son loved zooming it in in the store. He loves to make movies too.

To meet these conditions is ok:
1. The ability to have wireless, external remote microphone for sound.
2. Large capacity hard drive recording.
3. Sufficient quality for high-action video.
