Looking for suggestions. We leave tomorrow for a 5 night trip to DL and my 14 year old niece has requested that we snag a character and film him/her saying hello and wish you were here to her. Also, I know she wants her name done at that kiosk in DTD that does the cool letters, and I'm going to surprise her with that since she said no, it's too pricy for her.

So what to bring back for her brother? I'd like to bring him something he thinks is cool. He likes Disney but is not a huge Disney fanatic the way his sister is, more into baseball, likes Star Wars but is beyond a lot of the toys they sell. Anyone have any ideas?

My teenage son got a Bobba Fett ball hat style hat he likes out last trip. There are also lots of cool Star Wars t-shirts. I recommend the store near Space Mountain, I'm sure someone can come up with the name...I'm blanking on it at the moment.

Star Wars Legos! The 12-14 year olds that I know would be in LOVE with a Star Wars Lego set. They have different sets with different price levels. You may have to check the Lego store in DTD, though. I don't know if they sell them inside the park.

i think a baseball cap or t-shirt is good or maybe even some cool pins. they have some really cool star wars metal model kits that he might enjoy also

My son is 12 and still into the Lego sets and is looking to get a Star Wars lithograph during our next trip. He also has the Ultimate Star Wars book, which is amazing. I'm not sure it is for sale in the park, but we purchased online via the Disney store. Happy hunting!

Food. The only thing my almost 12 year old son wants to buy at Disneyland is candy.

A baseball cap is also a good choice

They have "themed" baseballs and that's always what my DS-14 gets as a souvenir. There is a Starwars baseball, I think an Indiana Jones, a Disneyland general themed and I know a few others. Just ask in some of the giftshops and they will point you in the right direction.

Are the build your own droids beyond the interest of a 12 yr old? I think they're pretty cool. You make your own little R2-D2 type droid and can name it. You could do one with his favorite colors or if they have the colors of his favorite sports team. They have little hats to go on them. I like them because they are really unique.

They have a lot of cool Star Wars stuff that would not be considered kiddie toys. Check out the Star Wars Launch Bay store, especially.

I would suggest the BB-8 sipper from Pizza Port (if they still have them) or the Tie-fighter popcorn bucket. Both can be purchased with the drink/popcorn on the side so they remain clean to take home

Or, these items at the Tomorrowlanding store were really popular as well. They have engraveable Star Tours badges and leather bracelets. The badges had four different designs (the one we got was the exclusive passholder design). You can choose the title and have it engraved with your name in the Star Wars Aurebesh alphabet:

This is the bracelet for DS7. There were many different designs and sizes:

My just about 12 year old boy is still massively into Legos and would appreciate a Lego set. Even if he already had it.

If he is into Star Wars - something Star Wars.

Even at 12 - I also think the Arribas Brothers glasses - personalized with the kid's name - are a good gift.

You can get name tags, keychains and those leather bracelets/wristbands with your name in Aurbesh (Star Wars language) in TL. You could just ask him what he wants. It might be easy to suprise the Disney fanatic, but if you're not sure what the other one wants, I'd just as soon ask than try to surprise someone with something that they might be neutral at best about.

I'll say a star wars shirt from the Star Trader store, a Wookie sweater or some of the comics they have for sale there.

my old 10 year old likes the funny hats and backpacks. He has a goofy hat and a hat that looks like a bear was sitting his head. He has been eying the backpacks that look like a star wars character is stuck to your back.

How old is your nephew? Older or younger than 14 yr old niece and older/younger by how many years?

One of the stores in Tomorrowland has these really awesome umbrellas whose handles are light up lightsabers. They cost $70. And they are TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!

How about a Star Wars mug? Or find out if there's a Disney character he likes(Mickey, Donald, Goofy?) and pick out a mug for him. I think mugs are always a good idea...hot chocolate now, coffee when he's older (or at age 12 if he's like my nephews were!)
