What would you ask an Imagineer?

Hello,

I have the pleasure of attending Dine with an Imagineer at the HBD this Monday. This will be my 3rd time. I have had a former structural engineer and another who works with DCL and was previously in charge of opening Disney World properties abroad.

You never know who you're getting until day of. I've exhausted a lot of banal questions so I am turning to you guys. What would you ask an imagineer?

I've been fortunate enough to chat with several Imagineers over the years but its always been in the parks and they've been explaining specifics to us. I guess it would depend on the particular discipline the particular individual works in. Perhaps ask what the biggest challenge is/was in their job? A particular thing they are most proud of? What they look forward to as their next challenge? How technology is changing the way they approach tasks? How do they learn about cutting edge technologies?

As OKW Lover said, it depends on their individual area of expertise, but I’m always interested in how they became an Imagineer - their interests, education, job experiences and how they led to the current position. I’ve enjoyed Lunch with an Imagineer three times, and all three have had very different stories to tell about how they got there!
