Hi!! We are staying at CR for 5 nights, that gives us 4 full days and 1/2 day (we will get to Orlando at 2) I have a 4 day non hop ticket but I am willing to change if I need to...anyway we must go to MK for sure and I have never been anywhere but MK as a kid...our kids are 5 7 9 all girls. What parks/itenerary do you suggest for our shorter stay???? Right now I am leaning toward MGM over AK if we have to make a choice...what do you all think???

here is my sample plan:
arrive check in, swim, dinner at Chef Mickeys
day 1 MK lunch at CRT
day 2 EPCOT dinner at Coral Reef
day 3 MGM dinner at Concourse at CR and swim at night watch water parade from CR I am hearing about...
day 4 MK again or AK???? dinner at GF or Poly on monorail of course
day 5 breakfast somewhere on monorail or CR and maybe swim again or shop

no interest in:
a lot of shopping, downtown disney, bars or drinking, nightlife, etc...
suggestions appreicated

First, I love Animal Kingdom. However, I would suggest that you go back to MK rather than going to AK. You can save AK for your next trip! (It gives you a good excuse to go back!)

One day with girls that age won't be enough at MK. I say, go back again so you can experience all the magic. Otherwise, the schedule looks great. I suggest 'Ohana for dinner at the Poly on your last night.

The one suggestion that I would make is on Day 3 have dinner at MGM and stay and see Fantasmic!

Oh gosh! I didn't even notice you weren't staying for Fantasmic! Yes, do that! You can book the dinner package so you don't have to wait in line.

Is it possible to schedule any EMH into your schedule? I'm not sure what dates you're going, but if you can do that, it will give you extra hours at certain parks, which will help you do more and give you more time for long dinners and a possible rest.

I love AK too, but with the ages of your kids and the fact that you're staying right next to MK and you only have 4 park days, I would say make the most out of MK too. They don't call it MAGIC Kingdom for no reason ... it is truly magical, for both kids and us adults :goodvibes

You're going to have a GREAT time no matter what you do - it's WDW after all

If I had to cut out one park for kids it would be Epcot, although this is my favorite without kids.

When we went last year, we had 3 day non-hoppers plus the MNSSHP day for Disney. I had intended to spend one day at MGM, AK & MK. The kids had so much fun, we spent the last day at MK & missed AK completely. We're going back this year to hit AK this time & will probably skip MGM.

Our kids are 3,5 & 11 & all voted for MK, despite their love of animals. You really can't spend too much time there!

When are you going?? Not having parkk hoppers could be dangerous if you are going at a busy time.

we are going Sept 28 thru Oct 3 and I guess I could add hoppers but I honestly think w ages of my kids and the fact that we have never been there, we could probably do without this option but I am open to adding it if need be...

I thought about eliminating EPCOT but I can't do that, my dh will love EPCOT and he is already not quite into the "Mickey experience" as it is and I think this will impress him some

Why not just get a taste of all the parks! It's a short stay so you can get like an "intro" to the parks. When you visit again in the future you'll know exactly what you'll want to do. If you don't have any guide books go to allearsnet.com to get familiar with the shows and attractions. If I were you I'd start there.

At the time you are going, it shouldn't be too crowded. Just make sure you keep reading here all about Fast Passes, Extra Magic Hours, and other tips that will help the day go smoothly. I would say you don't need to park hop. You can always wait to the end of your trip to decide whether to return to MK, or try AK. Our family finds AK is not a full day event.

AJKMOM, which shows and attractions do you head to at AK? I find that AK is a one dayer if every attraction and show is not missed.

We have an autistic child, so he won't sit for some things. We always take in the Safari, Tough to be a Bug, Festival of the Lion King, Dinosaur. Eat lunch and head to EPCOT. Have never been on the River Ride or seen the Bird Show. Didn't care much for Tarzan Rocks, we thought it was too long with too much of the same things. Tried the rides in DinoLand, but they make me sick.
