Yes, Shadow is a Black Labrador Retriever. Very good at retrieving but not so good on the "drop it" command yet. She turned 1 in August (forgot to have a party for her).
She got away with being on the table because it was her first time and well, it was kinda cute. Now, weighing in at 59 pounds, she knows better. That's not to say she doesn't put her chin on the table and give us a pitiful look though.
I had lost my greyhound in October (30th to be exact). Got Shadow in November. And then lost my whippet in March. For the longest time Shadow was "just a dog" as far as I was concerned. DH kept saying she'd grow on me and he was right. She's a really good girl. I still miss my other fur-babies a lot of the time but Shadow's found her special spot in my heart too.

Looks like something our black lab would do! He's more daring to get food from the kitchen counter though, especially when DH isn't around. They're great dogs, but mine chews on everything, and it drives me crazy!
