What would be your ultimate Disney vacation?

If you could plan your perfect vacation at WDW, what would it be? I'm not going to say, if money wasn't option, because I'd like some ideas that might be obtainable. So let's say a vacation with a lot of pre-planning, searching for those discounts and saving for let's say at least a year. Even with all the research and planning that I always do, I'm sure there are some great things at WDW that I haven't even thought of doing whether they be expensive or inexpensive. Ultimate doesn't always have to mean expensive! What resort would you stay at? What restaurant would you have to try? What other attraction/event would be a must see? WDW is such a huge place and always changing, I know there have to be things I am missing. :flower:

I love to dream. I can say that I've actually experienced a few ultimate Disney vacations, but I'm going to describe one for you right now that I haven't experienced yet, but would love to.

I would stay 10 nights. The longest I've ever stayed is 8 nights, and I think I could stand 2 more. I would do a split stay like so. I would stay the first 2 nights at the AKL concierge just so I could do the Sunrise Safari. I've always wanted to do that. Then, I would move to a Magic Kingdom resort and my pick would be the Polynesian, lagoon view. I would stay there 4 nights. Then, for my last 4 nights I would switch to the Epcot resort area and I would choose the Beach Club Water view. This way, I could get 3 very different experiences in one vacation.

I would wear out the MK during the first part of the trip and that would include at least one tour, probably the Steam Train Tour. I would visit Fort Wilderness and go canoeing and to the Campfire Singalong.

Then, during my Epcot jaunt I would of course wear out Epcot and MGM. And I would enjoy karaoke at Kimonos (at the Swan) and I would rent surrey bikes on the boardwalk, play minature golf at Fantasia and absolutely indulge in Stormalong Bay as much as possible. I would shop a lot in World Showcase and have my packages sent back to the resort. I would take a ride on the Breathless and/or take a Fireworks Cruise.

As far as dining, I would hit my faves. Blue Zoo, California Grille, Narcoosee's, Flying Fish, Brown Derby to name a few.

That, in my humble opinion, would be the ultimate Disney vacation.

Thanks for the fun thread. I can't wait to read the other responses.

I knew there were some things I had never heard of! What is the Steam Train Tour? :flower:

I don't mean to brag, but I gotta say, I just experienced an "ultimate WDW vacation!" We were there for 7 nights and we had the perfect mixture of planned activities and down time. We were also there with another couple and both our DDs are the same age and also only children, so it was fun to get them together. That said, I would NEVER want to vacation with anyone else around the clock. It was nice to check in with our friends and plan activities with them, then also say, "see ya later" and go our separate ways.

We hung out by the pool 3 days, did DTD one day and one night. DH and I had a "date night" one night and left our DD at a kid's club while we dined at bluezoo. Tuesday DH golfed with the hubby of our couple friend, while my friend and I took the girls to "Grand Adventures in Cooking" at the GF. She and I then went to Epcot and had the princess lunch at Akershus and rode some rides, incuding Soarin. Tues night, DH, DD and I went to ESPN.

Wed the girls did the Pirate (Albatross) cruise at Y&BC. Then we rented a Surrey Bike to ride around BW. Wed night DH, DD and I ate at The Brown Derby and saw Fantasmic for the first time.

Thursday night was MNSSHP! It was awesome!

Friday night we checked into POR, hung out at their pool all day, ate at Boatwrights, rode the boat to DTD. Sat had a big breakfast and that night went to Party For The Senses at Epcot. That was phenomenal. Our friends watched our DD that night.

The weather was perfect, the crowds were reasonable (though not as low as I would like) so it was a darn great vacation.

Now, if money were no object...well...I would stay concierge and do a Wishes Cruise and all sorts of elaborate stuff! But, I am content with the trip I just had, and I am hoping for an exact replica next year...we already started planning it!

wildernesslodgelover,

Your vacation sounds amazing. I'm so glad you had a great time. These are the things I was hoping to have posted. I know a lot of people might not agree, but a dream vacation can be achieved without having to mortgage the house. Sometimes it's the little things that count. You are the second person who has mentioned the Bluezoo. Where is it? Is it a restaurant? If so, what kind of food do they serve? See, here is another place I have not heard of. That's why I come here, to gain a wealth of information! :flower:

My ultimate vacation would be....

10 nights deluxe resort, doesn't really matter which one...I like 'em all.
Unlimited passes for everything...parks, water parks,
Weather warm enough to go swimming
Not too crowded

The most important thing for me though, would be the people that I'd want to take...my children, my parents, my brothers, sister in laws, neice, and nephews. That would make the trip my true dream!! Having all my family with me. :cloud9:

I like your thinking CherCrazy. I would love to do a trip with all our family. :flower:

My ultimate Disney vacation.....

Start with a flight down to FL and go straight to a 4 day DCL trip. I don't care to where, just not during hurricane season. After that 7 full days at WDW. I would stay at the AKL concierge level for 3 nights and then switch to the Poly for the last few nights. That would be awesome! I would hop to my heart's content. Maggie

Hmmmm...maybe 10 days at the Grand Floridian, concierge castle view with lots of champagne. Low crowds so we can ride what we want and eat where we want, when we want.

I am a BAD WDW fan...I'm more excited about returning to the GF than I am about ridinig any of the rides. So sue me, after working with pains in the %&!*&% all year, I NEED luxury and relaxation at that beautiful resort!!!

Well i always travel alone, so i would do this:

3 days at BWI Garden Suite
3 days at CR Tower 14th. floor, MK view
3 days at POLY LVC
3 days at GF RPC

Then i would buy all the figurines made by arribasbrothers, and ofcause some disney cells. In fact i would buy buy and buy souveniers, so i would have to bring atleast 2 extra suitcases to carry it with me home!. :rotfl2: :wizard:

I dream about going to disney again LOL so this would be MY ultimate trip - and it would need to have an money is no option budget :earsboy: some people plan this kind of vacation but for us it is only a dream :earsgirl:
First class flight from Milwaukee to Orlando .......

10 nights at CR deluxe Jr suite

all the best food WDW has to offer....includeding but not limited too....
Ca Grill, Narcousse's, V & A 's, Yachtsmann steak house, Jiko . :teeth:

Shopping at ALL the stores at DTD and buying whatever anyone likes --------

all the tours.....including the " big" one and of course this entire vacation would be the first week on December so ALL the rides are walk- on....We would ride P of R ( our favorite ride) 10 times in a row :wizard:

Now i have to go get a snack cause thinking about that yummy food i am hungry LOL :Pinkbounc

I would do several days at AKL concierge so we could do the sunrise and sunset safarri, then hop to grand Folridian for 4-5 nights, then contemporary for 5 nights. Of course I'd have to figure out who the "wife" will be in this scenario who will pack and unpack so much, but heh I'm Dreaming right?!?! Then I'd ship my 3 kids somewhere safe and educational for them and just Dh and I would have the romance of Disney just as adults. Have never done this either. Perhaps we'd take a couple of tours, and bring home a live souvenier (baby #4)

My dream would be to take my entire family, DH, my 4 kids, their spouses and all of my grandkids. 2-1/2 weeks, 10 days at WDW and one week on the Disney Cruise. While at WDW we would fit in Wishes Cruise & Illuminations cruise. We would stay at the Grand Floridian at least 3 nights and 4 more nights at either the Poly or WL and 3 more at AKL conciege so we could go on the morning safari. We would eat at Ohana's, Le Cellar, and DH and I would have a wonderful dinner at Victoria and Alberts. We would have a blast having character breakfasts at CRT and Chef Mickeys. So many wonderful things to do! What a wonderful dream!

My ultimate Disney vacation wouldn't be restricted to WDW.

I'd like to spend about 6 weeks visiting DL, DLP, HDL, TDL, WDW, and finishing it up with a DCL trip.

I'd be happy with 7 days @ Contep MK view tower. Mom, Dad, brother, sister in tow. Unlimited Bar Tab. Im good to go. The rest is just details

Grand Floridian Main Building concierge, split with Deluxe Concierge at the Boardwalk, and the first few nights in deluxe AKL concierge. 'Nuff said.... :cool1:

A LOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG one. DH and myself, one bedroom villa overlooking the lagoon OR Garden Suite at the Boardwalk. By long, at least a couple weeks, so I can try bunches of new restaurants, have time to also do my favorites, have plenty of time to both relax, shop, do the parks and maybe even a few tours. Maybe two weeks won't be quite long enough!!! :goodvibes

My Dream would be a4 Night Deluxe Stateroom on a Disney Cruise/4 nights at GF consiege/4 Nights Beach Club Consiege/4 Nights Consiege Poly/4 Nights Consiege WL Dinner at LeSeller/CG/YS all during the Christmas Season but not Christmas week. A Dream that will never happen but we all can dream.
