Hi - celebrating some big things this trip in September. We’re there for 4 days total. It’s myself, husband and two adult kids in their 20’s.
If you could pick your most favorite meals in each park what would they be? We have tix to the Halloween party already and usually have dinner at Liberty Tree that night and open to other ideas. We’re not a Victoria and Albert’s type of family - generally something more casual. With that said are there any special meal ideas we could do? What would be on your list? We’ll be staying at the Polynesian towers. Thanks!

Narcoosees and Cali grill if you're not doing what the other person suggested for Celebration at the top in your other post...

I would say to not over pack the schedule, because if you have too many "activities" then you won't be able to enjoy the parks!

A fun time can be had at Trader Sam's too!

My favorite restaurants are Tusker House and Garden Grill for characters, but then really, whatever is fun where we will be that day

Cali Grill was good. Disney Springs has some very good places also. Enzo Hideaway was very good. We like all the Grand Floridian fine dining spots as well.

The new restaurant lounge @ Poly Tower, Wailulu might peak your interest.
For a special meal, Toledo @ Coronado, great food without the formality of V and A.
Pretty much anything at Disney Springs. Being outside of the bubble means those eateries have to keep their game focused plus it’s much easier to get a reservation via Open Table.

Have fun.

Super helpful - thank you!

Top choices:
Flying Fish
Jiko
Citrico
Narcoossee
Il Mulino
Toledo
Topolino
Olivias

Avoid:
CG (too pricy for what you get)
Steakhouse 71 (good food but no view)
Any character dinner
Tratoria Al Forno

We don’t have a favorite “park meal” as the parks don’t appeal to us for sit down. MK for sure has nothing worthy of a special occasion meal for adults. Epcot does with monsieur paul and Takumi-Tei. AK and HS also do not have anything worthy of a special occasion meal for adults either (imo). I’d choose to go to the hotels (I really don’t like Disney springs) for restaurants like jiko, flying fish and topolinos.

California Grill would be my pick. I dress up every time I go and get a late night reservation cause I enjoy the vibe at night with a bottle of wine.

If you are going on a party night though, I would assume you would be going for an early 5pm reservation? I don't feel the place has the same magic vibe when its still bright daylight out but the food still is really good, and that's really what matters.

Nothing is special at any Magic Kingdom restaurant per se. You would have to go to other resorts. Citicos is another favorite inside GF. Narcooses just doesn't give me a special vibe while in it but the food is really good also. I feel that is the most casual between the 3. Fireworks are great. That is just me though.

AK - Harambe Market, Nomad Lounge (churros)
HS - DH really liked the filet mignon at Hollywood Brown Derby
EP - we thought Teppan Edo was fun, really liked La Hacienda de San Angel
MK - we don't really line anything here... Skipper Canteen was OK. I have also heard good things about Wailulu, planning to try it on our next trip.

With that said are there any special meal ideas we could do? What would be on your list?
We went to the Cake Bake Shop for DH's birthday. Thought the entrees were very good (Shrimp PoBoy and Chicken Piccata). The chocolate cake was not that great, would like to try the raspberry champaign. We also enjoyed Summer House at Disney Springs. Just asked DH, he says he would choose California Grill.

Depends on what you mean by "special". Are you talking dressing up and having more than one fork at your seat or are you talking just in the parks but TS?

My go tos for in the parks: MK you have covered although we love Skipper's Canteen. HS HBD, usually the lounge. Easier to get in to and we like to split apps. but the full restaurant is also great. AK Nomad Lounge if you want the apps or Tiffins if you are in the mood to sit down. Epcot - we are Spice Road Table folks, love to order a whole bunch of small plates to share. You really can't go wrong with most of the restaurants in WS.

Outside the parks. I've been going to the Mexican restaurant in the Dolphin the last few trips. It's more Tex Mex then real Mex but it's pretty good and lots of it. Not a DS fan so can't help you there. I'm also a fan of 3 Bridges at CS. Not fancy, no ADRs, all covered outside but pretty good food.
