What would be slow service in DLP tabel service

Hello,

I have a question. I was reading reviews on the table service options at DLP and they were stating that service was slow at the Blue Bayou. However, I am from the US and I realize that Europeans take more time dinning then we do. So if the reviewers are from Europe and they are saying that service is slow what would that be from a US standpoint?

Also, what is considered a normal amount of time to eat a table service meal at DLP and what would be considered slow?

I actually like to take my time, particularly in a new or very themed enviroment, so this is in no way a slight.

I usually spend 2 hours at a table service esp if its a character meal.

Im not sure what i would class as slow as im a fast easter myself lol.

We usually spend about 2 hrs as well at a table service... sometimes slightly longer. Mind you, we have 2 young kids, so it always takes much longer anyway. Plus if there's character interaction, the characters interrupt our meals - so it's not our fault we take such a long time to eat lol !

We had meals at Auberge de Cendrillon, Walt's & Cafe Mickey on our last trip and they didn't hurry/rush us at all. The table next to us got up & left about half an hour before we did and the next lot of people had started eating before we left lol.

I know what you have read about Blue Lagoon. We have eaten there a few times, plus we like a slow paced meal but at Blue Lagoon last time is was a joke!! We waited 10 minutes from check in to be seated (there were only 2 other seated tables in the restaurant when we checked in.) We spent 2 hours in the restaurant and decided to skip desert as we figured we had waited long enough (it was not busy, maybe 10/12 tables of people.) It is a shame as the setting is lovely. But the service and food quality means we won't go back. However I am hoping that my meal at Blue Bayou at Disneyland in the summer will make up for this!!

We were known to spend over 3 hours at a meal once! Usually we take about 2 hours but there are 5 of us and we usually have coffee/tea after our meal. Most meals we could have finished within an hour and a half if we'd chosen to. Take as long as you like, after all you're paying.

A few times the service has been slow but then again we have also experienced equally slow service in the US. I find there is little difference in the service at table service meals whereas the service at counter service places at DLRP is much slower than at WDW. Just keep this in mind and you'll be prepared.

Best thing ever was going into the Blue Lagoon sometime in the daylight and reappearing when it was dark outside with all the lights on.

Slow service is great in DLRP, but it is attentive for the most part.
