So everyone who has booked their ressies for Aug-Sept in hopes for Free Dining.

What will you do if your resort fills up? Will you switch resorts, change dates, or cancel?

We are totally up for changing resorts. We are booked at the POP, but we will change to any Value. My kids really love the atmosphere of the Value. DH works at a place where they have to put in for vacation requests and it is not changable once they are approved.

Yes I am willing to change resorts. I have a list that is 5 resorts deep (requests for each) and the prices for each option. I even have different of booking dates I can go with. I plan calling first thing on the 7th and I don't want to take up to much time so otheres can get through. I would hope that everyone does the same and that no one calls and then gets the possoum in the headlights going on and takes forever to figure out what they are doing. One year I was on hold for 40 min and when I got through the CM was laughing and made the comment, I hope you know what you want. She was the nicest person and I got what I wanted and was off the phone in minutes.:thumbsup2

We really want to stay at ASMU in a Family Suite. Last year the suites were not included in Free Dining, but I am hoping they will be this year. Our only other option is POR, which usually has the most availability of all the resorts.

I am booked at the Poly and really don't want to switch resorts, but I will if I have no other choice for free dining. I'll be calling at 7am on Mon. as well and hope I can keep my ressie and just add the free dining. :wizard:

I already booked but we are going whether we get free dining or not. Free dining may get me to change my dates a bit, though! I have a family of 5 on a tight budget (3000 or less, everything included, for a week) so I am pretty limited in the resorts I can stay at. So, if I can get something better than POR for $2400 a week, taxes and everything included.. I am game! Looks like I am staying at POR though. (The other $500 for tips, souvenirs, and gas).

I hope you booked in the VERY middle of the planned promotion then. What would you do if you're current reservations don't all fall within the range and they decide no to extend past??

We're going Sept. 2-8 no matter what. We have two options, well.....I suppose you can look at it as three.
1. Stay where we are (CBR) with our current discount of 40% off on 3 rooms.
2. Stay where we are with 40% off MIL's room and free dining for SIL & me.
3. Free dining for all 3 of us at POP.

If options #2 or #3 do not pan out, then we'll stick with #1, and all is well.

I won't be calling, I've already spoken with my AAA TA and told her to try the code for me to see if I can get a discount off the deluxe at WL. Do not change me to basic and do not change my resort, we will pay for what we want, even if we can't get discounted dining. We only go every other year, and I won't compromise.

We haven't booked yet. We did the free dining the past 2 years. I wasn't planning on going this year. We couldn't do bounce back since DS will be starting school. If the free dining dates include the last week of Aug. then we will go. If not, I will need to plan a vacation elsewhere closer to home.

ETA I guess we are going! Disney Here we come!!

We are going regardless of Free Dining, but if I am told the POP is full, I will switch resorts. To me Free Dining will just be a bonus.

It will be interesting to see if POP is available for free dining. After the bounceback promo, and so many people doing speculative booking just in case..dang, it seems that POP has to be pretty dang full. We'll see, though!

Someone on here posted a one line phrase that summed it all up..What was it again? Something about speculative booking hurting free dining? I loved that line.
