What will you celebrate tour - Seattle Location?

I know they have an outdoor space there, as The Best (cover) Band In The World has played there after Seahawks games (Dudley Manlove Quartet, for the record) and there have been people dancing there. So I assume it'll be there in that space.

I think it's pretty much just been a few characters, some balloons (with codes to enter on the celebrations sweepstakes site?) and that's about it everywhere else... So I figure it'll be the same there.

Yeah...it seriously sounds like they're gonna give Mickey 5 minutes on the air to talk about the event...

BOoohooo

Its coming to my town on Febuary 6th I hope I dont have to work.

I work up near the border and saw the disney celebrations van pass by! I swear I almost chased it down the road! However, I thought my coworkers may find that a bit much and have me commited, so I decided against it!

Darn it... just a van?

I was hoping for a truck, maybe followed by a marching band, and then all the characters, and whatnot.

Don't think I will be able to make it if its in the morning then! Hopefully someone can make it and give us locals a report.

Problem is it doesn't even sound like a public event.

thanks, everyone, for your research! i guess i'm glad i didn't drag my 2 girls with me to downtown. they made it sound like a big deal...but it doesn't look like it really is...at least their "production" here in seattle. i would've gone if it was at westlake though!

But did we ever find out where it was? :confused3

I was told it was at Fisher Plaza. There is an open, PUBLIC, space there where I know that my favorite band has performed for the public.

I ended up with a wicked bit of insomnia that resolved itself just in time for me to sleep until 10:30 today and I realized I've missed it or will miss it (since I live in Tacoma), but I absolutely felt that it was open to the public.

All it's been anywhere is some characters, probably the new "ambassador" of the parks, and some balloons with codes in it.

They just showed it on teh end of the 11:00 Komo news. It was a bunch of balloons to be given out and computers set up so you could register for your free bday admission. Mickey and Minnie are there. And that is about it.
Oh they will be there until 1 PM

Drat, I told hubby to catch a bus and go on his lunch break! But noooooo, he refused. Harumph.

Now I want to go to Portland.

Darn I wished I saw this last night :( my son had swim lessons by Eastlake and we were right down the street around 11am.

I just wish they had put the info up on the site, like they did for Every Other City (but Vancouver)! Don't know why we got the short end of the stick, ya know?

Yeah, I finally found a little tidbit on komo's website after the event...

It's like one of Komo 1000's low-publicity giveaways. *Cry*

Sherwin I'm sorry you weren't able to use my post about it yesterday to go to it. I wish I had been able to go to it! Danged insomnia.

Did anyone go? Was my detective work all for naught?

I would have met you there. I work on Westlake Ave. N ;)
...and we would've met up again...just as we did in october when you came up to me after seeing my LGMH! :)

Did anyone go? Was my detective work all for naught?
