What will you celebrate question re entry ticket...

So I have a Deluxe AP that has my birthday of 6/6 block out. If I understand the rules correctly my only choice is to take the free non hopping ticket as I don't qualify for the other options.

What I wanted to do was to buy my blackout ticket for 40.00 and then get the fastpasses as it is a Saturday and we could've really enjoyed those fastpasses! But if I'm reading the rules correctly I cannot do that and instead will receive the free non hopper ticket and will then need to pay the additional 25.00 to upgrade to a hopper for the day. So basically I'm only having to pay 25.00 to get in that day instead of 40.00 - which I appreciate as a birthday gift from Disney - I don't want to get greedy and ungrateful as this is a free perk! But just want to make sure I'm reading the rules correctly....

I'm not sure. It is very confusing and I'm still trying to figure out how to register my DH's birthday when my info is already on the Disney site. That's kind of tough being on a black out day. You might want to check with them some how and see if just being an AP holder lets you pick what you want.

That is a good idea - I will call them and see what they have to say!

I would think that if you bought the black out ticket, then used it to get in, turned right back around a walked out to guest services (or whenever you go to get you b-day stuff), they would let you choose from one of the other options. At that point you would have already bought your ticket and use it, therefore they could not give you another ticket.... .

At least that's what I would think, but I would definitely call first to verify. Good luck!
