Does anyone know what the hot food offering is at PBH club? I am convincing several of our friends to come and this was one of the questions?

We were at PBH Club last May and here's what they served: For breakfast, they had cereals, muffins, bagels, small danishes, toast, melons, strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, and yogurt. Lots of juice, coffee, and milk (including skim milk). Mid-morning were smoothies and granola bars. Around 3:00 in the afternoon they served more fruit and small desserts - cannoli, small cakes. 5:00 is beer, wine, and cheese. There were platters with vegetables, crackers, cold meats, and occasionally sandwiches (subs). Each evening there was a hot offering - chicken/broccoli in pastry, mushroom/cheese in pastry, sausage rolls, that type of thing. There was lots of food available and one night we were able to make a meal out of the offerings. At 9:00 out come the cookies and milk. Soft drinks, water, coffee, and tea were available all day.

Thanks! When we went last year the hot offerings were fried cheese raviolis(to die for) and dim sum, and cocunut chicken. I see they are adding a variety but still hoping they hold onto the ravs! :goodvibes

OK, I'm feeling a little dim sum. What is it? I'll tell you what we get in April. Are you going again in June?

Motherfletcher-
I can't wait to see what they give you. I think the hot food items are always a highlight.
Yes, we are arriving at PBH June 27th. My kids are each bringing a friend this year because we have so much space. It should be fun. I just hope we don't have rain all day everyday like last year-a bit of a bummer.
Dim sum was (I think) these little dumplings that are deep fried with pork in them.

Yeah, June is the start of the rainy season but the thunderstorms usually don't last too long (all day sucks) and they do a good job cooling things down. I tell you the weather bummer last year was the hurricanes! We just finished re-roofing the house Sunday and we have the floor ripped out of the kitchen and need the floor joists replaced due to water damage. The kid's rooms need to have new ceilings installed. About half of our blown over trees still need to be removed. Now they say that in 5 generations our house will be a Gulf front home due to global warming and the hurricanes/storms will increase in intensity. Our Governor Bush said that insurance rates will be allowed to sky rocket. Well, at least I have insurance now so let it blow! :umbrella: UM, deep fried, ummmm.

Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to complain about a rainy vacation when so many others went through such horrible things. I apologize and hope your home is back to normal soon.
As far as deep fried ravs or dim sum go-I say when on vacation it is a must! ;)

Hey, it's in no way your fault that we had a hurricane or rainy days. :sunny:I'm just saying that the sunshine State can have bad weather too. The sun will shine for your June trip though. :thumbsup2

I hope so. I even like overcast days as long as I can get an afternoon or two by the pool. It is a real treat for us because where we live we don't own a pool and there isn't even a community pool. Note to self-another reason to retire in the south. :sunny:
