Slightly gutted to hear that the muppets will be closing in June. Was hoping I’d get to experience them one last time when I go in November. What are your favourite things to do in HS? Hoping to get some ideas for my trip and to ease the pain slightly of seeing the construction walls!

Since I'm not a huge Star Wars or coaster fan, HS has become sort of like AK for me. It's a relaxing stroll around enjoy the details and watch loads of shows park. I do occasionally watch Muppets but haven't ridden Rockin for years (it hurts me). I always have park hoppers so your day would be different from mine if you don't. What I do. Usually go my first time around 5 pm (I've been in another park in the morning). Ride a few rides, usually just whatever has the shortest lines. Grab some supper at HBD lounge, ride another ride or two and maybe watch Fantasmic. Next morning, arrive some time within the early entry window. Ride the bigger rides couldn't catch the night before, I usually ride SDD first thing and get that long wait out of the way. Grab some breakfast at Woody's. After eating maybe another ride, depending on when the first show starts. I try to hit all 3 shows in one day, don't always make it since they tend to start close to each other and I don't do all day in any one park. Splitting it between night and morning, I've always managed to ride every ride I've wanted to without buying LLs and still get meals and shows in. If you don't have hopper and enjoy shows, it would be very easy to spend all day there and really not miss the two areas.

Neither of those are my top things in DHS, so my top things will not change. I liked the muppets show, but have seen it many many itmes over the years and it was a bit dated. My most favorite ride is ToT, I also like the Toy Story and Star Wars areas, MMRR is fun.

They have not yet announced RNRC's closing date.
Thinking they may delay that a bit so they don't have a major attraction closed when already closing another attraction.
I was disappointed to see the June 6th closure for Muppets since Disney explained you'll still have plenty of time to see it... Announcing an early June closure in late January doesn't seem like that gives people that much time... I think October would have given better notice.

But ok say RNRC closes before my August trip...

I'd probably take the opportunity to go on SDD which I don't go on that often because I have other priorities.

I've also been doing Frozen Sing A Long twice per trip and skipping BATB so with Muppets closed I'll probably do BATB.

Just gives me more reason than I already had to skip - there were only 4 things (well, 5 if you count Fantasmic) that I would have bothered with anyway...and losing those takes it down to 2.

We love hitting Toy Story land first and doing those rides first. Tower of Terror and Mickey are a must. For shows.....Indy and Beauty and the Beast.

Toy Story and MMRR are the only things we really like to do.
DH likes Star Tours, but I don't.

RotR alone is worth visiting the park for. I’m in the minority that doesn’t care about the RNRC retheme and is thrilled about Monsters Inc land.
I forgot to mention the shows. I think the value of shows gets overlooked sometimes. My DH and kid absolutely love the Frozen show for some reason. BatB is good and Indy is fun. The Little Mermaid revamp will open soon, and then the Villains show.

Not saying any of these are the same quality as Drawn to Life, but those DtL tickets are as much as a whole day at HS.

Don’t think it will change my plans much. Muppets is something I do when I have time to kill before a Mama Melrose ADR. RNRC I’ll do when I’m down there for ToT sometimes (RNRC is rough on me so it’s only something I do sometimes).

Biggest change for me will actually be switching my Fantasmic package dining to 50s from Mama’s.

I’ll miss mamas as well really enjoyed their food.

I am in the process of planning a short trip this spring to have dinner at Mama Melrose's and see Muppet's 3-D a few more times. I am just so sad to see it go! Mama's is one of our traditions but the hubby and I love The Muppets.

We are looking forward to the new Monster's Land. I love all of the new additions, I am just sad about losing the old stuff.

Heads up the MM closes in May:
The last day to enjoy Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano will be May 10, 2025. The location will permanently close on May 11, 2025, to make way for the new Monsters, Inc.-themed land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We love all parts of DHS, so it our plan won't change too much. :lovestruc

Always thought Disney could have updated/refreshed that 3D Muppet movie without having to remodel the theatre. I don't think the movie has even changed and has been the same since it first opened. For whatever reason, that never seemed to be a priority.

DHS has become a half day park for us now, we are not into Star Wars so it's SDD, TSM and MMRR if we're lucky, then off for lunch.
