With the season fast approaching i thought it would be nice to share what/who we are thankful for this year?

I am thankful for:

DH and myself still having jobs
For my family and Friends
For everyone being reasonable healthy (DH has had 3 hernias in the last 2 years)!
and lastly i am thankful for the DisBoards, because with the help of everyone on these boards i have saved thousands of dollars :cheer2:

I know this really has nothing to do with the Budget board, but this is the board that i am thankful for!!!

I am very thankful for my husband, my children, my husband having a job, and the education and services my children receive (2 have special needs).

And also, the internet; I really can't imagine not having it.

I am thankful for my children and my husband. My family and friends. I am thankful that my husband and I have jobs as well as my DS who graduated from college last year and is teaching Special Education. I am also very thankful that I still have my eyesight in my right eye and hearing in my right ear. I have two diseases that are causing me many problems with these things and I will fight fevorishly to save them. I am able to watch my daughter as she performs and nothing makes me happier right now.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Me and my friends have been posting on Facebook daily what we are Thankful for, it has been very uplifting.

I am most thankful for...
My husband, and our marriage. This year we saw the collapse of many of our friends' marriages. Many have seperated, divorced or are having major problems this year. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the economy. 2 years ago we did not know a single couple divorced. It is very sad. My DH and I have been together since I was 15, everyone said it was a mistake when we got married when I was 17. I just knew. I know that is rare, but we are happier now then ever and for that I am truly, truly thankful!

Our family. I grew up and only child and was raised by my grandparents. My DH was raised by his absent father and evil step mom (really evil, not being funny). His only brother passed away 16 years ago so needless to say we don't have much family. I am so thankful for my daughters and for the family we will have in the future, grandkids, aunts, uncle and cousins for those grandkids. There is nothing like family and you know it when you don't have any. I am so blessed with the family we have made together, they are wonderful, healthy and happy and nothing tops that.

My grandparents. I will always be thankful that they took me in when my mom didn't want to be a mom. They were the greatest parents you could ask for, and still are the people who we can always count on. There are no words for the thanks I have to and for them.

DH's steady job. He works a ton of hours and is always on call, but his job is secure and anytime that is a blessing but especially in this economy.

Our home. It isn't a big house, it isn't a new house, it isn't a fancy house but it is our home--- full of love and memories, what more can you ask for out of walls and floors?

There are many more, but those are the Top 5.

Great Thread! Reminds us all to count our blessings!

I am thankful for my DH, kiddos and threst of my friends and family; that me and DH have good reliable jobs; that we are going to DL for Thanksgiving; for getting to live in really cool places; and just life in general. I am very blessed.

I'm thankful for my beautiful DS and my wonderful DH. I'm thankful for my puppies. I am very thankful that my pretty princess puppy has lived a very happy and healthy 10 years.

I am thankful for my job. I am thankful for family and friends. I am thankful for the house live, food to eat, lights, water. I am thankful for my health.

We found out this summer that my mom who is only 53, has stage 4 Lung cancer so you'd think there wouldn't be much to be thankful for but I've been feeling more thankful than ever..I am most thankful that as horrible as the cancer is, it has made our family stronger and closer. I am thankful that I am healthy and able to help my mom and still be here for my own family. I am thankful that my husband has a great job that allows me to be a stay at home mom. I am thankful for my 2 beautiful boys who even when I am so sad and so scared are there showing me how wonderful life is and how good God has been to me.

I am thankful that my 16yo son is my best friend and a wonderful, Christ loving boy.

I am thankful I have some of the greatest employees in the world!

I am thankful for the sweetest kitties in the universe!!

I am thankful that I have somewhere to stay after my home was flooded in September.

I am thankful that I will have a NEARLY new home sometime around Christmas.

Thank you Lord!:cloud9:

Been there, survived that...:sad1:

Hugs to you and your family. Your Mom is my age and I think I'm invincible. She deserves more time with her family and I pray you will be thankful for and enjoy every minute.

I'm thankful for my family, that we have health insurance, school nurses and for all the other parents and supporters of children with diabetes. I don't think we'd be able to survive right now if it wasn't for their efforts and support.

I am thankful for my family, life partner of 23 years, our new daughter-in-law, having three very good incomes (one of which is a retirement income), and the fact I am alive. I had a heart attack in April and it has made me more aware of what is important in my life and it is not material things. I treasure every moment I get to spend with my family and friends.

I am thankful for my mother. She almost died in July and was on a ventilator and in ICU for 3 months. She is now home and continuing to recover and regain her strength. Due to being in a hospital bed for so long she lost all mobility. She couldnt even lift a finger and is now walking slowly with a walker.

This is a sweet thread, very nice.

I am thankful for:
My husband's job, while it may not pay much, it pays our bills.
The chance to stay home and homeschool our children.
Our church....the people there are amazing, so loving and friendly, such wonderful influences on us as a couple and our children.
Being healthy. Sickness and cancer seem to be all around us, so for good health, I am ever so thankful.
My husband and children. They are my greatest blessing on this earth.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Thankful for...

my son. He's a good kid.
our jobs. I dislike mine but it's certainly better than not having one.
this new PC. The old one finally collapsed and this is nice!
us having more money. It's coming!
great experiences! Trips, shows, fun with friends, etc...
breathing the air, enjoying the sunshine, just being alive!!!

I am thankful for my husband, the greatest guy in the world, our 3 sons, daughter in laws and grandchildren.

I am thankful that we are earning incomes and that I work for a company that truly cares for all employees.

I am thankful for my two dogs who make me laugh every day.

I am thankful for my hard working staff.

I am thankful for being 2 years cancer free.

I am thankful for my husband, and his job,
my daughter who is so close to finishing college,
my son who is a great kid,
my daughter's fiance who my husband doesn't call "stupid".

I am also thankful that after nearly 8 years, my DH finally gets to see his son that his ex-wife would not let us see, even though we had a court order for visitation.

Thank you all for sharing, i think that sometimes we just get so caught up in everything, we forget how thankful we are, even for the smallest things.

What an amaing thread, it is just makes you feel so warm and fuzzy.

I am thankful for:
My DH and DD - they are the light of my life, becuase of them I smile veryday
Family - we are all so close and at least talk everyday
Friends - what can you do without them
Jobs - the bills must be paid
My High School Students - they are most amazing young men and women who overcome so much but still leave smiling everyday.
