As I sit here up to my ears in wedding magazines, stalking wedding websites, and annoying the heck out of my fiance by asking "Do you like THIS shade of pink?!".. I need to know- what were your wedding colors?

Although our wedding is soon- we're still debating on colors. So, I'm here for inspiration and for fun because come on, who doesn't like reminiscing about their wedding? :thumbsup2

I was married 3 yrs ago. My dress was champagne and the girls dresses were pale pink and champagne.

Well, it was lavendar....hey, it was the 70's :rotfl:

DS got married 4 years ago, his was burgandy and black. Very nice.

I had a hard time deciding on colors too so I ended up going with black, white and red. Girls wore black. All the decorations and stuff were black and white and my flowers were red roses. It was simple and I LOVED it!

We are in the planning process, but we are having Cinderella blue, and silver

Married in 1996.. funny thing, I didnt have colors . We married in a little chapel in Gatlinburg on the side on the mountain , had about 30 people with us. Because it was a destination wedding .. I didnt do anything lol. I went with what the chapel was decorated in and my flowers were a mix of gerber daisies. I let my one bridesmaid pick what she wanted to wear. It was a pretty floral dress. My cake was white, with an arrangement of gerbers on top. We had a sit down dinner at a fancy local restaurant. They took care of everything. My invitations were ivory with black writing and a small black ribbon at the top.

I just got back from Natchitoches, La an hour ago. Your question reminds me of the movie Steele Magnolias.

Shelby's colors for her wedding in the movie were blush and bashful..
Her mother said they were pink and pink.
Shelby declared that one was much deeper than the other lol!
All this must be said with a southern drawl of course. ; ).

Congrats on your upcoming wedding !

Pink and aqua were my colours. We got married on a beach in Bermuda and the colours represented the water and the sand (Bermuda is known for pink sand).

Royal Blue and Dove Gray. THey looked great together. My napkins and invitations, etc were in gray and the wording in Royal Blue. I had lots of compliments.

You know, that's what my whole family has been saying about me :lmao:. I'm so serious about the different shades of colors and have been since I was little- I'm not just crazy about my wedding! :rolleyes1

I doesn't help that I have a Southern accent and would kill for Shelby's wedding if someone would let me do it! :rotfl2:

WOW! Everyone had such beautiful colors!!! Please please keep them coming! Gosh, you DISers have such great taste! :thumbsup2

My colors were silver and mauve. Somehow it doesn't sound too attractive, but it was really a stunningly beautiful combination.

I had pearl and cornflower blue. The colors represented my and my husband's birthstones.
Strangely enough, my mother's colors were identical...and I never realized it until I compared pictures.

Red, green, and gold - Of course, it was a Christmas wedding! I loved it! It will be 11 years on Saturday!

I had an october wedding and 4/5 of my bridesmaids were redheads, so I went with an eggplant color for their dresses. not necessarily a favorite of mine, but it looked outstanding on them, as well as the lone bridesmaid with black hair. very very pretty.

My attendents had mauve dresses (I had one maid of honor, 2 bridesmaids, and my 5 nieces were Jr bridesmaids), the tuxes were gray. This was 25 years ago, in the summer.

If I were to do it all over now, I'd have gold dresses, and black tuxes, for a fall wedding with lots of fall colored flowers. (I watch too much David Tutera...love him!)

We got married in the summer 13 years ago and our colors were a dark peach and white. :)

LOL it was a gorgeous 80's wedding, but we don't want anyone to say for your wedding "That sanctuary looks like it's been hosed down with Pepto-Bismol. "

I almost stopped in the middle of the road today when I saw the house that was the family home in the movie. LOL , drove by a few times, almost cried I was so excited.

We also got to see the church the wedding was in . Very exciting day!!

Again, I'm blown away by these color combos. All I'm seeing in the magazines and online are very modern, hip colors: tiffany blue and red, chocolate brown and pink, etc. They're pretty but I want something different and original, like you all had!

Would any one mind sharing pictures?

Our colors were basically red, white and blue. My dress was white, DH wore his dress blues and so did his best man. The rest of the groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos.

The bridal party (flower girl, brides maids and maid of honor) all wore navy blue dresses.

Flowers were red roses and the church was decorated for Memorial Day anyway, so we left all that stuff up. The only thing we added was red roses on a brass arch.

My plan was for royal blue, white and cream, but I stumbled across beautiful bridesmaid dresses in the sizes I needed in navy blue (for $38 each!). So we had royal blue, navy blue, white and cream. My flowers were daisies and wildflowers, and we had daisies on all the tables at the reception, with blue and white balloons all around the room.

Got married in 1991.

My dress was white (as opposed to ivory). DH wore tails with a white vest & tie. The boys had classic black tuxedos with balc vest & tie, I think. I don't think they all had tails, but I'd probably have to look at a picture to be 100% sure.

My girls wore teal. Flowers were basically varying shades of pink. My bouquet was mostly white, but I think thye thrw a little pink in it.

It looked nice.

That dove gray and royal blue combo sounds stunning!
