What were these dolls called?

Or did they even have a name? They were the stuffed dolls where you would see Little Red Riding Hood - wearing a dress - and when you flipped it upside down it was then the Big Bad Wolf? I also remember seeing them where it was just a little girl - happy and smiling - but when you flipped her upside down it was a sad, crying face..

Are they still around? I don't know why, but the other day I just started thinking about them and can't remember if they were popular when I was a kid or if it was when my own children were little..

Anyone know? Just curious..:)

My DD had one of the red riding hood ones, but I don't know what it was called. That was probably about 20 years ago :goodvibes On the big bad wolf side, you could flip it's night cap over and grandma was on the other side of the head (if that makes sense!) I might even have it around here somewhere.... Haven't thought about it in years!

Here's one...

I had one of those, but I didn't realize it was hand made. Thinking of it brings back nice memories:goodvibes

Sounds a lot like an ex-wife... :scared1:

Thanks so much! How neat!! Didn't know you could still get them anymore.. Now that it's been mentioned, I do remember "Grandma" being on the other side of the Big Bad Wolf side..:thumbsup2

Definitely brings back memories..:goodvibes

I had one, too!

I hadn't thought of it in many years. Thanks for the flashback :goodvibes

I just found one of these at a thrift store not too long ago! I bought it for my daughters. It's actually VERY high quality and looked to be in perfect condition. A steal at $3.

Transvestite dolls?

never heard of them

I had the Red Riding Hood/Grandma/Wolf doll when I was little. Thanks for bringing back that memory -- totally forgot about that toy. :goodvibes

Topsy Turvy dolls! I have one and my mom has a few. They are so cool.

OMG, I had that Red Riding Hood/Wolf/Grandma doll too! Right around 30 years ago...wow, I had forgotten all about it. I used to be so scared of the Wolf side lol

They have some at Disney......2 kinds. I think they were Cinderella and Belle on one, and Snow White and Evil Queen on the other.

I also got DD one on a recent trip to Saint Maarten......French side one and Dutch on the other.
Very cute.

Me too! I hadn't thought of those in years. I wish you had remembered this a few years ago when my DDs were young. Too old for dolls now :(

I wish I had remembered when my DGD was still young enough to have one.. I think she really would have enjoyed it.. Drats!! :headache:
