What weekend in Sept did you pick?

So I am trying to pick my dates for Sept 2012

We will leave Saturday night and travel to arrive at the parks on Sunday morning. This is going to be a short trip so we don't have to use vacation time. We will be checking out Tuesday and driving home after spending the day in the park.

I am willing to leave any Saturday of the month but want to try to pick the best weekend possible for crowds, events and what not. I am just not sure if it makes a difference that time of year or not.

Anyone else have plans for Sept in the parks? What time frame did you pick and why? any tips? Thanks guys!!

I think any week after Labor day would be fine. Schools will have just started so it shouldn't be too busy as long as you miss Labor day.

Sept from our trips is a pick your poison month.
Low crowds (after Labor before Halloween time begins) = short hours & refurbs of multiple attractions including HM and SpaceM.
Medium crowds (during Halloween time startup before parties) will have HM and SpaceM back and about the same short park hours.
There is a good probability a major attraction will be in refurb in Sept.
The decorations for Halloween time make the park "fresh" to regular visitors and Ghost Galaxy SpaceM is a fave for some, also HMHoliday. You do have an increase in crowds (in my limited experience) when the season kicks off.

There will be at least a few of us on the Wonder Repo Cruise that are arriving on Sept. 16th.
