What week in December???

We have always gone in February, but are trying December this year and need a little help.
Should we go from 11/29-12/7 and catch some lingering Thanksgiving crowds? or Should we go 12/5-12/14 and catch some Pop Warner folks? Which would be the best week??

I don't really have an answer for you. We are going from 12/9-12/16. We orignally thought that the Pop Warner people would be gone by then, like most years (thats why we booked then rather than earlier in December), but thats not happening this year. From what I've heard, however, unless you are staying at one of their hotels, it really doesn't make much of a difference. As far as the Thanksgiving croud, I can't really comment on that because I haven't been there then. But I think either week you choose will be great! Just make sure to bring warm and cold weather clothing!

I've been there before thanksgiving, after thanksgiving and the first week in december. week before thanksgiving is completely crazy, if you don't like crowds, totally don't recommend it. after thanksgiving is much better. but we love the first week in december. the holiday decorations are up, the crowds are light and the weather is fantastic. the only bad, if you can call it that, is that's the week they usually film the mk christmas parade for tv. the actual parade is one day, but all the other stuff is taped throughout the week (we've seen interviews and shows that are shown as part of the tv broadcast on xmas morning). but that's just at mk and you can usually find out when so that it isn't as bad. but, we still always enjoy going at this time!

We have been the week after Thanksgiving and found it to be the best trip we have ever taken as far as low crowds, great weather and a festive time to be there. We checked in the day after Thanksgiving but didnt go into the parks until Sunday. We resort hopped, swam and went to DTD those first few days and by the time we went to the parks there were no crowds. The only time we experienced crowds were on our last day, Fri., and that was the start of Pop Warner. EPCOT was crazy that day. The decorations were up while we were there and the Christmas party was going on. It was lots of fun and a perfect week to go.

If you are asking me.... I'm not 100% sure, but I know its the value resorts, with some spill over to the Port Orlenes hotels. We will be staying at the POFQ... kinda nervous about that, but I'm sure it will be fine as we don't really plan to spend to much time in the food court or anything like that.
