What website do you use to check airfares?

I've just been using Orbitz, but I'm curious as to what websites folks use to look at airline prices.

I use Travelocity or Expedia to check available flts & pricing. I book directly with the airline because it saves the 5.00 fee agencies charge. I have never found a cheaper fare at any of the travel sites. (I've been to them all) I think if you book complete travel air & hotel you might save. I just like being able to see all the airline options in one place.

I use kayak.com
It's a search engine, not an online agency - so when you find a fare (or hotel price, or car rate) you like and select it, you get connected to the actual vendor (such as Jet Blue, and this is the only site I've seen that includes Jet Blue) so you don't pay that $5 or whatever service charge

Travelocity. I like their fare-watcher service. Typically, I'll book directly with the airline as well...

What I didn't like about FareWatcher is that despite my setting a level below which I wanted to be notified of any airfare changes (something like $250 BOS-LAX), FareWatcher kept sending me notifications in the $400 range.

can someone expalin this then I found a rate of providence to Mco for $177 (fees and tax included)through northwest on line about the same price at all the websites. I called northwestern directly to book and was quoted $232 rt for the exact same flights! I even told the representative that I saw it cheaper online and she said "OH" not even willing to see if I could get a lower rate. Those of you who book through the airline did you pay what you saw online?

I think a lot of times the cheapest rates are available only online. Unless I have unusual circumstances, I always book online.

That happened to me one time, I found a cheaper fare through Orbitz or Travelocity. However, when I actually tried to book it, it came up that the fare was no longer available.

Bestfares.com

this is where I recently found our $121 RT on USAir to Orlando... (of course, I did book thru the USAir website)

so happy here,
