He is sitting on a rain poncho; when we went in to "Finding Nemo" show the sun was beautiful; when we came out it was storming... each time it would rain he would ask for the stroller (any other time he wanted to walk or be carried) he would wait for you to cover him and ask for his fishies (gold fish or crackers)--LOL!

one of the only shots where you can really see the rain effect...

oh my- that is adorable!!! I know it must not have been too much fun in the rain- but that does make a cute picture...

GOOD Luck with your baby boy on Monday!!! I will be thinking of you guys... I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Myles and Owen both have had surgery (MINOR) - they had tubes put in because of bad ear infections... and it is just not fun!

Thanks! everyone for the anniversary wishes...
we ended up picking up Ashton and mom & dad
we went eat at the Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis MS
and it was nice Dad drove so Danny could sit back --I think we are both still road weary
I want to try and post the rest of our trip tomorrow or I'll have to wait until Wednesday after Ashton's surgery...

GOOD Luck with your baby boy on Monday!!! I will be thinking of you guys... I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Myles and Owen both have had surgery (MINOR) - they had tubes put in because of bad ear infections... and it is just not fun!

I am having a hard time with this surgery...
I am normally the level headed one; ok this needs to be done; everything will be all right one in the family--normally I may not be happy about some medical procedure (like when Gwendolyn had her tonsils out, or when he had anesthia the two times before) but, I handle it fine and matter of factly (that is my personality)
with him at my parents house this weekend -- I can't seem to stop crying when alone...I would never have dreamed I would take something this hard...I sleep with him in my arms--I just can't wait for this to be over

they are going to stretch his ribs on the left side and move things around the vascular cavity after cutting the ring to make room around his treachea... that just does n ot sound like something I want them to do; but, yet I know it has to be done...

I am finally catching up with you! I am sorry you got rained on so much. We had great hot weather, it only rained Thursday this week a little. I'll be keeping up with you!

Glad to hear ya'll had a great trip!!! the rain was a bummer...didn't get to do everything we wanted...but we had a great time...just gave me a reason to go back sooner than our usual 5 yr plan -

It's Wednesday morning and we have two days left
I called and woke the kids up early; they were going to Blizzard Beach;(somewhere Gwendolyn & I thought we read that it EMH and opening for 8am--other people must have thought this also as they were not the only people there--IT DID NOT OPEN UNTIL 10 am--they sat there and waited for 1.5 hr still can't believe they did not go back to the resort).

Danny, Ashton, & I slept in a little...we went to Animal Kingdom to catch the Nemo show and Danny wanted to try to ride EE (he missed it the first day). So, after a little breakfast we jumped on a bus for AK. I took Ashton ride TT two times while Danny went to get a FP for EE --I wish he would have jumped in the single rider line at that time and skipped the FP--oh well! He met us in dinoland and we rode TT with Ashton one more time. We than went wait in line for the Nemo show; it was hot so Danny bought two frozen drinks --not knowing we could not bring it in w/us $7 down the drain. At least it was airconditioned! Wonderful show! Ashton loved it and so did Danny & I.

The plan now was for me to take Ashton to see the gorillias (we missed Sunday w/ the rain). Danny was to go ride EE and meet us for one more ride on the safari and finish w/ "It's a Bugs Life". Needless to say that is not what happened. It was pouring when we walked out of the Nemo show. Ashton cried for the stroller unitl we found it --good and soaked. After getting him situated Danny said let's go catch "Its a bugs Life". The line was very long and Ashton was already fallinga asleep. So, we decided to leave and head back to the resort.

Gwendolyn, Joe, and Dayne had a blast at BB until the rain came. They met us back at the resort for showers and nap time!

After the rain passed and we grabbed a bite to eat at the resort (again) thank goodness there was a lot to choose from. I had had the baked chicken w/mashed potatoes and mixed veggies--it was really good! Ashton loved it!

So, Gwendolyn & Joe had made ADR's for the resturant in Japan for that night and they headed to Epcot to catch the rides we missed the first night we went and to Japan.

Danny, Dayne, Ashton & myself headed to Hollystudios for EMH and to catch what we missed the day before.

So, Danny & Dayne headed off to ARR and TT; Ashton & I went to TSM. The line at TSM was waaayy too long and they were out of FP for the evening. So, Ashton and I went to see the Animation show we were so excited when we were walking out there was Mickey w/hardly a line--now, before I say this next part you need to realize we were the only ones walking up all the other people in our group were older or newlyweds. Just as Ashton & I walk up to the line the CM tells me that Mickey needs to go home and do his chores--uugghh!! and puts the rope up in front of us. I was so mad!!!

Ashton & I tried to find our way out and they were letting in for the "Playhouse Disney" dance party... Ashton loved this... JoJo, Goliath, Mickey, and Minnie were all there as well as balloon artisits and bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, everywhere... we stayed here until Danny called and we headed off to see what TSM looked like after EMH--still too long...so we went see the muppets 3D movie...Danny & Dayne went ride Star Tours and Ashton & I went back to see "The Little Mermaid". We left and headed back to the resort after this.

The dance party pics came out really cute but they are dark so photobucket would not pick up--sorry!

Fun update, well, except for the rain . We missed out on a lot of things this trip because it.

I will be praying for Ashton and praying that God guides the hands of his surgeons.

So, we have Ashton up late; hoping he will sleep late in the morning and won't be too disappointed when he can't have his milk. He has had his bath w/the antimicrobial soap, washed his hair (sure it will be a while before we can do that again) now Danny & Dayne are playing with him. I still need to pack a bag for us...

I will send an update Tuesday or Wed depends when we get home

His surgery went well; recovery on the other hand has been alittle hard. He has not wanted to eat or take medication; so, they wanted to keep him another night. I told them he would do better at home in his own environment and away from stangers. I was right I have been able to give him his meds and he has eaten. We are getting ready for bed; he is watching "Wall-E" the best part of the hospital stay. So, we bought a copy and watching at home!

Ashton is watching television & playing w/his safari animals & dinosaurs, quietly. Just removed his bandage (very traumatic and painful--his skin is thin and sensitive, there).

Need to see where I left off and wrap up this report...

Also, trying to decide when we should plan a return trip may set up a poll or just send your opinions...

I would REALLY like to see it for Christmas; but, at the same time would like to go back TOMORROW (if only)...thinking of Mardi Gras (need to check the dates on this one). Danny said only stipulation he has is that it is a low time of the year and preferably a cooler/dryer time.

So, it's Thursday...the last day of our trip.

Danny & I had still not finished Epcot so our plan of the day was to go to MK for EMH to find Mickey & Donald (hopefully). Ride a few rides in Fantasyland w/ Ashton, go to Epcot, DTD, and finish the night w/Fantasmic.

Dayne, Gwendolyn, & Joe planned to go to Typhoon Lagoon and meet us at HS that night.

So, we grabbed a bite to eat (you guessed it at the resort)...headed over to MK. We stopped in to get Ashton a hat (wanted to have it sent to the resort--told me it would be Friday--we were leaving; so we waited). Took pictures w/Pinocchio and Snow White--Ashton loved all the characters, but was shy with Snow White--LOL!

We headed to FL went see Mickey's Philharmonic, let Ashton ride the carousel, and we rode Winnie the Pooh!Than we headed to Mickey's toontown to find Mickey. Rope drop for this area was at 10:00 we had a twenty min wait. Danny wanted to go do something but I wanted to wait.
"Did you know that if you are the first child to reach Mickey; you get a special photo session in his house with him?" Now I know why everyone was pushing their way in front of us. this one lady kept pushing in front of us (we were the first at the rope) Danny finally ran over the back of her feet --lol! (he is so laid back--I'm the hot headed one! She did not even go to see Mickey she was going to see the fairies. After we found Mickey we jumped on the train and headed out. We wanted to ride the monorail with Ashton and head over to Epcot. So, we rode the moorail and it was so cool and smooth Ashton went to sleep! So, much for the train ride I kept telling him about; Danny & I enjoyed the ride.

WISH I WOULD HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE! The lines for Epcot were already at the point of counting people out to let people in...needless to say Danny said skip it; and let's go to DTD. **BUT, I DID NOT GET TO RIDE SOAR'IN AND DID NOT TAKE ASHTON ON THE ELLEN ENERGY RIDE W/ THE DINOSAURS...
So, we rode a bus over to POFQ rode the boat over to DTD (this is when we decided that we would never do value, again); we were going to have lunch at the Rainforest but decided not to spend the money. We bought mac n cheese for Ashton from Wolfgang Puck's cafe and we ate at Earl of Sandwich again. From there we went to the toy store to get Ashton's potato head; the clerk said we did an excellant job and gave us two extra pair of pirate boots.We were going to go over to the World of Disney store but it started raining. Danny said he had enough and wanted to go back to the resort.

While waiting (a very long time) for the bus the kids called to say they were on their way over to DTD; to grab a bite to eat. THEY WENT TO THE RAINFOREST! their bill was $160. Now, how do you eat that on $25 a day allowance, I ask.

WE FINALLY FOUND MICKEY & MINNIE YIPPEE

JUST BEFORE HE CRASHED--ON THE MONORAIL!!!

DTD--THE ONLY PLACE WE FOUND DONALD!!! AND NO LINE FOR DAISY

So, by the time we got back to the resort the rain had stopped, AGAIN!

We had not gone swimming, yet! Everytime we went back to the resort it was raining! So, Danny & I decided to take Ashton swimming...he would have loved this if we would have fit this in daily...next time... JUST AS WE DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO GET OUT AND SHOWER (ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF) THE POOP BANDIT PASSED-- it was so funny as we were drying off the life guards were asking everyone to exit the pool for "unscheduled maintance" there was this one lady who was really complaining...the guy on the side of us says REAL LOUD --"well swim with the poop if it makes you happy", you could see the lifeguard was trying so hard no to laugh...

After, swimming the kids had met up with us and it was finally getting close to time to head out to HS. We thought we would be able to get in a ride or two...NOT...Danny went to ride Aerosmith RR and Ashton & I found a very very very long line for Fantasmic. As we were being seated the black clouds decended upon us...ugh!
LIKE FOOLS WE SAT THERE IN THE RAIN AND LIGHTING WAITING FOR THE SHOW OR FOR THEM TO CANCEL. They finally cancelled the show when it was time and ran the finale of fireworks for the people who had waited. They than suggested that we wait for the 10:30 show. Danny & I decided that enough was enough and we really needed to feed Ashton--since we ate such a big lunch and snacked after swimming we had not eaten dinner. The older kids went ride TOT and ARR than went back and caught the show. I'm happy they were able to see the show!!!

FUN SHOTS from the last day...

So, during the trip Dayne had only brought his car charger along for his phone...earlier this evening he had asked Danny for the keys to his truck to charge his phone. Danny gave him his keys right as we were leaving to go to HS...the older kids still needed showers as they had hit the pool after it reopened...
When Dayne checked in with us after the Fantasmic show Danny asked him for his keys...HE COULD NOT FIND DANNY'S TRUCK KEYS... he remembers having them at HS but that is the last time he remembers having them...
NEEDLESS TO SAY DANNY HAD A COW... would we find his keys in time for us to go home????? good thing he always carries a spare in his wallet; but, now if we did not find them when we get home he will have to have the locks removed and redone on all four tool boxes...

I think you should go to Disney the 2nd week of November. The Christmas decorations should be up by then and it will be a slower time.
