DH and DD 20months are going in July. We only got 3 days of tickets and planned on going to MK, AK, and MGM? But we are wondering if we'll really be missing out skipping Epcot? What is everyones favorite park? and Why? :cool2:

For me, it's MK and Epcot.. I love the whole "being in a fantasy land" aspect of MK.. Like I've been transported to some place where everything is fun, light-hearted and happy.. But then the educational/information craving side of me really enjoys Epcot.. (Gosh! Does that mean I have a "split" personality?? LOL)

But if you're asking for your 20-month old, I don't think you would regret skipping Epcot at all because it's definitely not geared towards very young children.. :flower:

Magic Kingdom is wonderful for little one. We took both of ours when they were a year old. In fact my oldest son took his first steps by himself by the castle. What is "magical moment". There are a lot of characters to meet and they just love the little ones. When we took my 2nd son when he was a year old we were in the Toontown Hall of Fame and Chip and Dale crawled around the floor with him. Other familes were even videotaping this because it was so cute.

If you can, get a PS for Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's to eat. Great interaction with the characters and good food.

Have a wonderful time. My DH and I's fondest WDW memories have been when the kids were small. :flower:

We just got back and I hadn't been since I was a kid. The parks all feel really different, and I think where you go depends on what appeals to you. Our favorite park was AK because the theme was really well done and the park is very lush and green. MK is definitely tops for kids. MGM and Epcot are the most adult. Our kids didn't love MGM but they have some good shows and the kids weren't bored. At Epcot, I let them poke around at some of the Flower and Garden festival stuff. It was very low key but they had fun. Since your child is so young, I would pick either Epcot or MGM depending on what is more interesting to you. If you are focusing strictly on your child, then I would do 2 days at MK.

Epcot is definitely my favorite, but for DDs first trip (she had just turned two) we never went there. Actually, I think MK and Downtown Disney were our only stops that trip. I don't think your DD will miss Epcot at all.

There is a lot of stuff that kids can do and enjoy at EPCOT. It happens to be my favorite park. If I was going to skip a park, I would skip AK, personally.

I say do what you and your DH want. A 20 month old will not remember the trip. MK is a must, but if I only had 3 days, I would do MK and Epcot only.

I agree, but do think your child will love looking at the photos when he/she is older. GREAT photo opps at MK, of course, plus might be cute for your child to "go around the world" and take pictures in every Epcot country. I'd do either 3 days across MK and Epcot , or if you want to hit 3 parks, choose MK, Epcot and AK.

I say MK, it has lots of different attractions for all ages. Since you are going in July remember little ones over heat before adults so keep that in mind. When it is hot try a meal at Crystal Palace in the middle of the day.
