What Was Your Worst Character Greeting Moment?

Tink made our son feel horrible at MNSSHP, he was dressed as cpt. hook (not the hat and hook, though) - she carried her character a little too far and made him roll up his ascot with hook's pic and bury it under his chin for the pics, she never treated him nicely. I'm all about staying in character, but he was four, she probably should have been more delicate. The next day he begged to go back just to prove to her he was a good guy.

DD12 is hearing impaired. The first time we went to a castle breakfast DD was 4. The princesses couldn't understand her, and she couldn't understand them...it was terrible and she was so sad because they just walked away. Next year I made a business card that noted that my DD was hearing impaired and quickly handed it to the princesses as they came by. They got down on their knees and really tried to interact. I forget which princess now, I think it was snow white, SIGNED to DD. It was a truly magical moment.

DD12 is now to "cool" for princesses. BUT I still have the pictures and will keep them for her wedding!

Other than that, when DS14 was about 8 I got him ogling Jasmine's chest.....I was appalled, but thank goodness she didn't seem to notice. I dare say DS may be a chest man! If he marries a woman named Jasmine I know WDW may have impacted him for life!

Other than my Belle story earlier, that was the only out of character moment ive had, here are some of the best in character moments:

At MNSHP during the parade I waved to Captain Hook from his ship and he waved back with his hook, later after the villians show I had my picture taken with him and we hooked arms it was cute, later after the second showing of the parade he reconized me and waved and flirted it was cute :rotfl: , and I belive it was the same guy playing Hook the entire time!!

On the same trip I meet the Up characters and they were suprisingly in character, Dug gave me big fluffy hug and got distracted by a squirrel, Carl shook my hand and Russel flirted with me, and gave me a kiss!!

But that doesnt top my encounter with Goofy at Chef Mickeys, he messed with my hair and made me laugh, afterwards I bought a plush Goofy to take home :goodvibes .

Some of my best face character interactions have to be the time I meet Belle and Beast, I was nearing my Sixteenth birthday and Belle was happy to hear it, she said I could hug beast and I did, it was wonderful, and I meet Auroa in the same area and she was also happy to hear about my birthday, my castle meal (other than MK belle) I had fun with jasimen, Snow White, Cinderella, and a very in character Fairy Godmother who told me to not let my carrage turn into a pumpkin by midnight, Also at the MNSHP Alice Said hello to me, Jack Sparrow Pointed at me, and the Hitchking Ghosts stared in my direction. :scared1:

I went to see Aladdin and Jasmine this past May @ Epcot. It was my turn, so up I went. Aladdin was great, Jasmine just did not talk to me. It seemed as if she didn't want to be there. She didn't look at me once and didn't speak to either Aladdin or I, just kept standing with her hands on her hips and looking very, very annoyed. When she did speak, it would be a kind of half answer to something Aladdin was saying to or asking her. At one point, she started to tap her foot. It was my grad trip and Aladdin made a big deal out of it, congratulating me and asking me what kind of reward I was receiving. Aladdin was trying to get her to interact with either of us. He finally gave up in the end because she just would not participate. I had my photo taken and left. What I couldn't get was there were several other groups there with people my age and I was the only one who received this reaction :(

We've had two not so great experiences.

In 2008, Mickey at Chef Mickey's shook his finger at some kids as he went to the table beside us because the kids were jumping up and down with excitement. The kids weren't running up to him or anything when he was with another family they were just excited and jumping in place. When Mickey came to our table he barely spent anytime with us and didn't pose for a picture. I was so mad that I went and got a manager and we got a NEW Mickey a few minutes later who spent time with us!

In 2009, Terrance snapped at me because I touched his wings!

We saw this Aurora in France on our trip last year too and she was amazing. DD3 was totally in love with her. After a long greet, DD got right back in line to see her again :goodvibes Later in the day, DD insisted on going back to see Aurora again, so we did. Aurora remembered her, called her by name, spent all kinds of time with her (we were last in line) and asked her if she would like to go back to her castle with her to live. Sweet thought....but DD really wanted to go :lmao:

We met her on our way to dinner at Askerhus too. DD was dressed as Sleeping Beauty. She was wonderful. Then we saw an Ok Aurora at dinner. I was worried seeing two different Sleeping Beauties so close to each other would ruin things for DD, but she whispered to me at dinner "The REAL Sleeping Beauty is over by the fountain, this is one of her helpers."
