What was your very first car?

I swear all the cars about that era were some type of green!!! I had a car that we described as puk-green, it was my Chevy Vega.:p

Mine was a light blue 1989 chevy corsica. I got it in 1994 when I was in high school. By the time I started college in 1996, it was breaking down all the time...caused a lot of tears and fights between me and my dad. I came to HATE that car, and as a result, will never buy a chevy!

My first car was a 1951 Studebaker Commander...it had been my parent's old car, then my oldest sisters', then my middle sisters', then mine...I left it for my folks and my Dad sold it for $100 in 1969, just as it was becoming valuable. He had a bad habit of doing that; did the same thing with a 1947 Ford woody wagon...

1972 baby blue volkswagen! I loved my slug bug (why did I sell it?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_9.gif' border=0></a>)

1979 Datsun 210, bright yellow. I had one day to learn to use the clutch and stick shift before I had to drive it back to college. My Dad's advice? "You can always leave it in first gear and drive the 50 miles in the breakdown lane".
Thankfully that wasn't necessary, but I never forgot it.

A 1960-something red Fiat that I inherited from my brother. I don't remember the model but that thing was tiny!! Then I moved up to a brand new Fiat X 1/9. I loved that car!

1978 Volkswagon Dasher- it had an 8 track player in it. Boy, I drove that car into the ground. Got it in 1984 and in 1989, Dad sold it to a local teen who worked on it in his shop class at school. By the time the school year was over, that car was looking and running great- better than it ever did when I had it !

1974 AMC Hornet - three shades of periwinkle, one door welded shut, manual choke, hornet stinger hub caps, dashboard lights worked when they wanted to. My Mom sold it while I was on vacation in Chicago. Replaced it with a mint green 1977 Olds Delta 88, people used to wave me through intersections it was so dang big!!

Now I'm on my second mini-van and I'm not even 30 - kill me now!

I'll let you know when I get one.......

1981 brown Chevy Citation that my ex husband eventually painted burgundy. Had it for 10 yrs before it died. Not too bad for $3000

A 78' Sunbird! It was a piece of crap, but I loved it! It had been my brother's car.

A chevy nova. My dad fixed it up for me and painted it corvette metallic silver. Loved that car. My nickname in hs was nova girl.

I had a Nova too! It was a 1973 (in 1983). It was painted bright orange and had silver stripes down the hood and trunk. I also bought a horn that played La Cucaracha and pink fuzzy dice. We called it the Cheech-Mobile because it looked like something out of a Cheech and Chong movie!!!

I miss that car. It had so much more personality than a dark green Grand Caravan!

:D

Mine was a 1984 Chevy S10 pickup I got for $900. I hated it and thinking about it makes me break out in a cold sweat. It gave me nothing but problems.
