I'm a senior this year, and I'm a proud to be a straight A, goody two-shoes band geek.
I have a group of friends from junior high who aren't in band, but other than that I barely even associate with non-bandies, especially since my only classes this year are band and music theory. I'm kind of part of the "popular" group in band...which probably makes me even more of a geek to the rest of the school, but whatever. I've always been the straight A student, teacher's pet type, too. I'm pretty happy with my social status...I'm definitely not friends with the "popular" kids, but I don't see how what they think of me should affect my life. I'd much rather be doing what I love with friends who are just as dorky as me.
