What Was Your Longest Wait For Attraction?

Ours was 2 hours 45 minutes for Splash Mountain on our first trip after it opened.Can remember many 1 hours waits for Space Mountain,Star Tours,Body Wars,Great Movie Ride,Dumbo,Jungle Cruise,The Land.That was few years ago now with better planning and fast pass and many a trip under our belts we don't do that on recent trips.Got a feeling with Soarin and new Car Stunt show might want to get ready for a wait like the old days.

I have 2.. One was at DL in Cali and we were in line for Space Mountain. We get to the middle of the line, the ride breaks down for 20 mins. It is still. We get to the front of the line and all of a sudden, another breakdown. We get close again and they have to switch a car off the tracks. I think it was 2 1/2 hours or so.

We also had numerous LOOOONG waits for Splash Mountain.

My DD & I were going through some of my old pictures a while back, and I found a picture of Big Thunder Mountain shortly after it opened (I think). DD was apalled at the line - it was all the way down the walkway that leads to BTMRR. I don't remember how long the wait was, but pretty darn long, I'd guess!

I once ran over to ride Splash Mountain while my DW and DD were waiting to meet Ariel. After spending 1hr and 15 mins. in the outside queue I decided that I better get back to Ariel before they were done. So I left the SM line as it was going inside only to run back to Ariel's Grotto to find my wife and daughter still had an hour to see Ariel!!! So that was my longest wait for a ride that I never got on!

50-60 minutes at Big Thunder.

Now, of course, we know the railroad trick (be one of the first through the gate, get on the MK train before the first one departs, and you get off right next to Splash and Big Thunder before any of the walkers can get there.)

I do pretty well with avoding long waits. But once, DH and DS7 waited well over an hour for Star Tours while DS15 and I had FP's for Millionaire. We did the show and came back before they had even gotten on the ride lol

AK - Tarzan Show - we got on line an hour before the show started. We did get great seats because we were one of the first to get in. DH & DS went to Dinoland to do some rides, while we waited. DD & I played cards in the shade.

went in january so it wasn't busy at all for any ride, they weren't even giving out fastpasses. we waited the longest for btmrr..20 min., that was on the monday that we went, and the marathon runners were having their fun day at the park too.

Two hours...to ride the rocking roller coaster! Mmm...I can feel the ride now.

2 hours for Splash Mountain. It was the first time I rode it.

Two hours for Splash Mountain (twice). They always seem to be out of fast passes by the time I get there. Shortest time was an hour. I wish I didn't like that ride so much, because I hate standing in line.

My son is a Test Track freak! On our first day we went to Epcot half way through the day & did the standby line @ Test Track (we did get FastPasses before getting in line so that we could do it again quicker), but it was a total of 1 hour from getting in line to emerging from the ride. Nothing more than that, though...

I have two.

The first was Kali River Rapids - about 1:45. The sign when we got in line said 40 minutes.

The second was almost 2 hours for Splash Mountain. We got in line and about half way through the ride broke down and took about 20 minutes to fix. Then about 10 minutes later ride broke down again. After waiting 20 minutes CM announced that Splash Mountain was closed for the rest of the day for repairs. After almost 2 hours of witing and still didn't get to ride!!

If your son likes it and you don't mind letting him ride it alone, I've found that the CM's at TT are more than happy (more so than at other rides) to let the child "go around" and ride again. They open up a gated door that leads to a staircase and he is told to "follow the yellow stairs". You can go up with him and you go up on a bridge above the boarding area and you can see the "conductor" of the ride and the operating booth and then you come back down right at the front of the boarding area and they put the kid at the front of the singles line while you wait in the GM museum for him to come out.

Ariel's Grotto to find my wife and daughter still had an hour to see Ariel!!! So that was my longest wait for a ride that I never got on!

Ariel's grotto is almost always a killer wait ..and one of the longest all of MK! But when you have a 6 year old daughter, you have to do it, right?! This topic reminds me of my wife's first trip to Disney (shockingly she had never gone as a kid), I told her all about the Magic Kingdom and went on and on about all the great rides...well, when we arrived, we took a left into Adventureland and the first line we hit was Jungle Cruise. I made the poor girl stand in that line for AT LEAST 2 hours! It was August, I think. We were sweaty and hot and ...finally, we get on the ride... when we got off, she was like "THIS is not worth it!! 2 hours for that OLD ride...??" She was a *tad* crabby but got over it soon and she has since become a Disney expert, but I'll never forget making her wait so long for Jungle Cruise...!

About 2 1/2 hrs. for Rocket Rods in DL.

I've been to Disney World so many times if a line is longer than an hour I probably won't ride it. Even 45 mins, I almost always grab a FastPass or skip it and come back another day.

The first time we took the kids in 97, Peter Pan almost an hour! What can I say I was young and stupid back then, lol.
