class song???

Boys to Men were hot in the '90's. I graduated in '92 and our song was It's so hard to say goodbye.... Now singing with hand waving in the air with a light:rotfl2:

Ours was the theme from The Greatest American Hero, Believe it or Not.

We wanted Another Brick in the Wall and the school said no :confused3 :lmao:

Our's was Time of Your Life by Greenday (I graduated in 2000). And a song that was played over and over at our actual graduation was I Hope You Dance by LeAnn Womack. Both of these songs drive me crazy hearing them now. :)

With a Little Help FRom My Friends by the Beatles

They chose it only to thumb their noses at the principal and sing,"I get high with a little help from my friends.' How lame.....

Unlike every other class in NJ, we skipped the standard(for that time) Never Say Goodbye by Bon Jovi in favor of Goodbye by Night Ranger, even though it was a few years old by then(1989):

Goodbye

As the sun hides his head
For another night's rest
And the wind sings
His same old song
And you on the edge
Never close, never far
Always there when I needed a friend

Yet it's hard living life
On this memory-go-round
Always up, always down
Spinning 'round and 'round and 'round

And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye

There once was a time
Never far from my mind
On the beach, on the 4th of July
I remember the sand
How you held out your hand
And we touched for what seemed a lifetime

Now it's hard
Leaving all this behind me now
Like a schoolboy so lost
Never found until now

And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye

Yet it's hard
Living life on this memory-go-round
Always up, always down
Turning 'round and 'round and 'round

And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye

And all this could be
Just a dream so it seems
I was never much good at goodbye

Goodbye

"The Long and Winding Road" was mine. My best friends (same year) was "sharin the night together":rotfl2:

Ours was the party like it's 1999 song. I graduated in 99. Terribly corny!

I honestly don't remember. I'd have to dig out my senior yearbook and find out.:rotfl2:

TOV

Ours was "Greatest love of all", by Whitney Housten.
Lyrics

I believe that children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way

Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

Everybody's searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs
A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I lived as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

And if by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

i think ours was "Time of your Life" by Green Day.

omg Boys II Men, i saw them in concert a few months ago....seriously.....no lie!!

My was "To Sir With Love" sung by LuLu.

It was such a looonnng time ago. These are the lyrics, for those who are to young to remember or know them...LOL...

Those schoolgirl days of telling tales and biting nails are gone
But in my mind I know they will still live on and on
But how do you thank someone who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn't easy, but I'll try

If you wanted the sky I would write across the sky in letters
That would soar a thousand feet high 'To Sir, With Love'

The time has come for closing books and long last looks must end
And as I leave I know that I am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me right from wrong and weak from strong
That's a lot to learn, but what can I give you in return?

If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start
But I would rather you let me give my heart 'To Sir, With Love'

Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin

I graduated in 1974.

Class song?? :confused3 I don't think we had one. How/When is it used?

We had a lot of songs used as the theme for Homecomings and Proms. Is that what you mean?

We didn't have one. If we did, it would probably have been a Beatle's song. :)

Ack! I also graduated in '92 and while we didn't officially have a class song, that was the last one they played during our Safe Grad Party cruise. Everyone came off the boat sniffling and crying.

I graduated in '93 and our song was "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. Althought the Boyz II Men Song the OP mentioned was also played a lot toward the end of the year. :)

The theme song to St Elmos Fire..

Our class voted on that and Lean on Me.. but St Elmos Fire won..

We didn't have one, but if we did, it would probably be "Friends" (are friends forever) by Michael W. Smith.
We were a small Christian School, and there we only 9 in my graduating class. One of my friends sang this song at graduation, so I guess that would be the closest thing we had to a class song.

I graduated last year and our song was "Unwritten" =]
