What was your first official transaction with MS after becoming a DVC member?

Our annual July 4th trip to the world, 1st DVC ressie at BWV.
Well that is after I stopped calling them a billion times to see if my point had showed up lol

We purchased in April, traded out to a resort in Gatlinburg for a stay at the end of June and banked our remaining points at the same time. We made our first trip to WDW as DVC members in October.

Had two first on the same day. First make my first reservation at my home resort for later in the year and second call to add on 100 more points.

I was fortunate to purchase a resale that has 210 points from the previous year, banked. Therefore, when I bought I had 420 points to use immediately. I booked a 2 bedroom for 5 days at OKW and had various friends join me, some at the beginning of the week and some at the end. It was a great week.

I fell in love w/ OKW and the concept of DVC when a friend let me use OKW a few times when they couldn't, I was hooked. However, nothing compares to owning your own which can use as it suits your needs.

I never regretted and ejoy it more and more. Some people told me that I would get tired of it, but I've been an owner since 2000, stayed at all DVC's except HH and so far I only want to go more and more.

One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Papers were signed, then my daughter used the phone in our guides office to call and book a room for four nights, to extend our stay.
When we got home we booked a Christmas trip!
Then we booked a trip for next August, at Animal Kingdom, for my grandsons 4th birthday! Concierge....sunrise safari!!

We became owners last month. First thing I did was book Feb vacation for 6 days at SSR using developer points. 2nd was to book ADRs. 3rd was to book June trip for AKV!!!!!! We are so psyched can't wait to go in Feb and then home in June!!! We are next planning for Christmas next yr - can't wait for Jan.

My made my first reservation in June for a stay in Sept at VWL. I booked my second stay last month for a trip in Jan.

We got the previous years points as part of the incentive to buy in. our first call was to bank those points! We bought 450 points,it was nice to start off with 900 points after banking the bonus 450! We'll be set with points for a couple more years, then we'll add on some more.

I purchased a BWV via resale with March UY and closed in Sept. Given I couldn't use 2008 points. I banked them.

We just got our membership number last week (19 long calendar days after officially closing ) I called 2 days later to book the Disneyland hotel for 5 days in 2009. This vacation was already planned prior to purchasing DVC so we decided to use some of our 2009 points this way and bank the rest for a longer vacation at BWV in 2010.

My first transaction was TODAY!!!!! When I booked our very first DVC trip for May with our SSR points. It was very easy and she was very helpful. We can't wait!!

We purchased June 1993 at OKW (Then called Disney Vacation Club). Took the tour on site and signed the papers right there. There was room at the resort so we checked in that same day.

Not sure of the timeline, but something like this:

1:00 PM: arrive at Commodore House (where the models were). A guide came out, gave us the tour, and explained the whole program.

About 2:30: Had decided to purchase and signed the papers. Our guide made a reservtion for that same day.

About 4:30: Checked in to a 1-B/R villa. (After going back to our off-site hotel and getting our things)

We bought in January 2006.

We made a reservation using borrowed points for a 2 bedroom in October 2006 to enjoy with my sister and her kids. We then found out that the kids would not be getting a Fall break, BUT that Spring Break would be several weeks after Easter.

We then rescheduled the trip for April, and used 29 borrowed points for a weekend at Hilton Head over Thanksgiving.

I'm still thrilled that we had to use up our points. We HH!

Of course, we also learned to be more careful with our points. In hindsight, I am so glad that we had our actual group trip early in our use year.

I believe it was to get our pin but it may have been to sent up our DCL cruise with our developer points.

Banked our 2007 points into 2008. Then shortly thereafter made our first ressy for our first trip home for......lets see.....22 days from now!!!!

We purchased OKW in June of 2000. We did have a trip booked for later that year at Dixie Landings and tried to rebook into DVC at that time, but there was no availability for our travel dates.

Fast forward to our November trip. I visited Wilderness Lodge and while there talked to the salesperson at the DVC desk in the lobby. She noticed that our next planned trip was within the seven month window and that VWL would be open by then. When I returned to our room I told my wife and daughter that we had a VWL 2-bedroom booked for our next vacation !

It was nice - booking Disney while at Disney !
