What was your first car?

When I was 18, I bought a 1985 Mercury Capri. I kept that piece of junk for about 8 months. I was only able to drive it for about 1 1/2 of those 8 months.

My first car was actually a new one that DH and I bought together right before our wedding. A white 1997 Pontiac Sunfire and we still have it.

DH's first car was a 1984 Dodge Aries that he bought after his freshman year in college. It was really both of our cars since I drove it as much as he did but technically it was his car.

I had it for 8 months before ordering a brand new one (1979)

This is WAY too funny! MY first car was a 1984 Dodge Aries, too! It was a hand-me-down from my dad, who had bought it from my mom's ex-boss. I finally had to trade it in after my ex put in an "extra" quart of oil and it set the engine on fire! Anywhoo, just thought it was weird!

Baby blue 1972 Chrysler New Yorker. It neeeded hinges in the middle so it could go around a corner.

A used 1973 blue, Olds Cutlass. A tank!! Got me through a lot, looked terrible though! Cost either $200 or $300 and, I sold it for the same price. No loss, no gain.

When I was 18 1/2 I bought a brand new black 1980 Pontiac Sunbird hatchback. I washed and waxed the car so much that I wore the paint off it - a true story!!

1984 Mercury Lynx (aka Ford Escort). It was 1989, I was 17. I loved that Car.

A 1984 1/2 Ford Escort. (what's the 1/2 for??? ) I paid for that car with my tip money that I made working at Denny's up in Alaska. I made the first payment intially and DH took over from there. First payment was $500. First car DH and I ever owned.

When we moved here to FL we bought our first new car in a GMC Sonoma! Got that one in June of 1994 and the car was a 94 so it was about 6-7 months old. I am now the proud owner and I do mean owner...because the title is mine of a 1999 VW Jetta purchased in Nov of 98! Love that car and I wouldn't trade it for the world. If I did, I would purchase another Jetta.

I sort of took over my mothers junkbox when I got my lisence. It was a79(I think) Grand Prix in 1988. But my first car that I owned was 1989 Dodge Shadow, in 1989.
