Joss Stone - Soul Sessions. This is a great chilling out CD :)

What about you?

Ok first record bought - yes it was a 45 inch single, was Nena 99 Red Ballons I think. ;)

Last one I bought was Ultimate Dirty Dancing!!

Cath:)

My first one was the Wombles...I forget the title but it was something like Womblin' with the Wombles (ahem!) but anyway it had the bestselling classic ;) "Womblin' Free" on it...!

My most recent is The Cure's new album.

Cath, I sense an obsession with Dirty Dancing...have you noticed you refer to it in many posts? ;) :teeth: :teeth:

joss stones soul sessions is very good ;)

I accidently clicked on your group by mistake but my eye caught this thread.

I'm really dating myself here:

33 1/3 record Mono - A Hard's Day Night

I stopped buying music when the Beatles stopped making records LOL

I have never even heard of the music you have mentioned.

I have to say I do love the Beatles Mary Anne. What do you think of British Invasion?? Do they measure up??

My First Record was Shakin' Stevens - Green Door

My Last Was Christina Aguilera - Stripped ( i think

 )
Funny how you always remember the first one.

Sharon.

Miffy, I was 13 years old at the time of the British Invasion, in 1964. Those were the best days of my childhood. To this day whenever I hear any of the English Groups from that Era, my feet become a teen again, and I sing and dance to the music. Needless to say, my kids pretend they don't know me. Have to say that was the best music of all time. My biggest thrill today was hearing the commercial for the Animals music being sold on CD. I was so sorry to hear that Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones has throat cancer. My dad had that, but I'm sure in the past 40 years so much has been done. The cigarettes will do it all the time.

I am so looking forward to the English 60's night on the 7 day cruise I'm taking in two weeks.

First record - The Last Waltz by Engleburt Humperdink - 1967.
Followed closely by The Others Mans grass is always greener by Petula Clark.

Last CD was The Hollies Compilation.

Jane

My first was Kylie and Jason Especially For You

And my last was Dido life for rent:D

Michelle:Pinkbounc

First was Ultravox All Stood Still (a veritable 80s Classic).

Cant remember the last record I bought (possibly Manic St Preachers) as I download it all these days (legally of course ;) ). Last download was Keane, Everything Changes.

I do remember someone buying me the Wurzles "Brand new combine harvester" when I was about 5, hope that doesnt count!!

Allie

I think the first record I bought was the novelty spitting image record..'Throw a chicken in the air'. It was popular and funny at the time

The last record I bought was Snow Patrol - Final Straw which is excellent, though not quite as good as Keane - Everything Changes IMO which was the record I bought prior to that. I am also going to see Keane in concert in November :bounce:

Oh, this is funny as I was only talking about this at work the other day.

My first record I bought when I was about 9 or 10 and it was B.A.Robertson 'To be or not to be' - I'd be embarassed but I suspect most people won't even remember him or the song, LOL!

The last I bought - hmmmm, might have been Now 57 - I don't buy many CD's these days.

First album I bought was 'How Dare You' by 10CC

and the last CD I bought was 'You Are The Quarry' by Morrissey

Never bought a single - always seem a bit of a waste of money to me. If I like a single I get the album it's on :)

LOL, when I was a kid you couldn't aford the album. the Singles were 49 cents each. Plus 99% of the time then didn't put the singles on the albums. This was back in the olden days (1960's LOL)

First was Madonna

Last was 3 CDs

Jay Z - Black Album
Kanye West - College Dropout
Streets - Grand don't come for Free

My first single cost 89p (about $1.35 for our stateside friends) and I bought it from Woolworths! I certainly couldn't afford an album at that age either, LOL

First record? - Can't remember, may have been Pinkie & Perkie from Woolworths.

Last one? - Dunno, probably some compliation or greatest hits. I tend to borrow DDs stuff.
