My Mom watched Prisoner: Cell Block H, which was an Australian soap that took place in a women's prison. It happened to be on right after we got home from school, and my sister and I were hooked on it, too. We were even allowed to delay our homework until after it was over.

My mom didn’t buy packaged snacks so sometimes at lunch my friends would share their Oreos or Hohos with me! We always took packed lunches to school.
