What was your 90’s hairstyle?

I have naturally curly hair. I was in jr high/high school early to mid 90s. Big aquanet bangs for a while. Then cruchy hair. Like where you use a bottle of suave mousse a week and you could poke an eye out with the end of a curl lol. Super cool lol.

Hot Roller Look early 90's (my senior pic is with it)


Straight very long hair, with wispy bang (I didn't wear my hair in a high pony like this, but I would pull the top portion back, have it long on sides and back with this type of bang.)


Then, I got the Rachel.


The layers were a pain. I grew them out then did the flip up lob.


Ended the 90's with straight side part hair, varied between Sarah Geller and Jenn Anniston.

Short, curly perm very similar to this. I distinctly remember getting my last-ever perm in 2004. I've often been tempted since, just for the ease of it. Wet, scrunch, go! Not really the thing to do these days though. I'm not sure if stylists even do perms anymore. I haven't seen (or smelled) one happening in a salon for a looooong time.

My hairstyle really hasn't changed in the last 55+ years.
Two exceptions.
Looking at elementary school photos, age 5 to about 7 I had a number 2 hair cut. Probably because money was tight and I didn't need as many haircuts that way.
And I went from March 2020 to November 2020 during the start of the pandemic without a haircut. Barber shops were still closed so my wife and daughter bought a home hair clipper set and cut my hair. Longest my hair has ever been. There is at least one guy I worked with that still haven't gotten a hair cut since the pandemic started two years ago. Yes, he has a pony tail now.

This is pretty much what my hair looked like then too, but not quite as long. I miss my curls, they are long gone. The most I can coax out of my hair these days is a frizzy half-hearted wave.
