N.Y. Man Stops For Nap In Laundromat Dryer
LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- It looked like something out of a murder mystery.
A woman with a load of laundry saw a leg sticking out of a laundromat dryer. Fearing the worst, she called police in Lake Carmel.
But the man wasn't dead.
Sgt. Ron Yeager called out as he approached the dryer. He said a sleepy voice responded.
The man in the dryer was apparently taking a nap. He told the officer he had been at a nearby bar and was walking home. The man said he went into the laundromat to warm up, and the coin-operated dryer looked inviting.
He climbed inside and fell asleep. There's no law against catching some "Z's" in a dryer, so police say the man won't be charged.
