For some strange reason, I always wanted to be a phone operator. LOL!

I guess I always wanted to be one of those old operators that had that huge switchboard in front of them connecting wires to all those holes! :p

Okay...I'm a nerd....moving on..:wave2:

I don't think I wanted to BE anything but I always played I was a drive-thru window person. I would put my Apple IIE computer by my bedroom window and open and shut it as I typed up orders on the computer. LOL

I would also play that I was a waitress when we were in a hotel with the laundry slips and the tray that came under the ice bucket.

I tried to tell Mo about the waitress game the last time we were in a hotel and she didn't think it was as cool as I used to.

I wanted to work in one of them photomat booths, thats my problem, I never think big

I wanted to be a pathologist - watched too much Quincy on TV

That is exactly what I was going to say! I loved Quincy and never missed a show. I always told my mom I was going to be a criminal pathologist. Never did of course.

I remember absolutely dying to be a mailman!! I think I was about 5-years-old then.

I used to want to be a singer when I was little.
As a sidenote, my seven year old son's dream job right now is to be a cashier at Walmart. He practices on those self checkouts all the time.

My 5 y/o DD tells me that she wants to be a vet, cotton candy store owner, and an artist! LOL!

I wanted to be a cashier at the grocery store. I never did that. I thought it was cool to watch them push in those numbers though.:teeth:

I wanted to be an author when I was 8. Of course years later and over 16,000 posts here on the DIS, I should be known as some kind of writer!!!:teeth: :bounce:

I wanted to be a truck driver, and drive an 18 wheeler for Mary Kay.

They had these pretty pink Peterbilts, with sparkly letters on the trailers...

(Seriously. Please don't laugh.)

Ok. so this is what a weird kid I was , I had a teddy bear that I thought was a real fairy, so I used to pray with all my heart that I wpould become a fairy so I could have magic! the funny thing is -I do have magic in my heart! LOL.............goof

I passionately wanted to be a model, but my mom was always dead set against it. She actually went on a shoot with me one time and threatened me if I made any faces other than an innocent smile! lol So, that wasn't in the cards for me! Guess I wasn't rebellious enough!

::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pirate: princess:

A nurse, and that's just what I grew up to be! :sunny:

I wanted to be a major league baseball batboy-unfortunately, I grew up in the 60's & 70's and was a GIRL, so it was unheard of. Now I see they do have girls who field the foul balls, so we've come a long way, baby!

My neice, who's 18 now, wanted to be a "My Little Pony" when she grew up!

Meteorologist for the National Weather Service...not incredibly weird but I am still mocked for my love of the weather.

When I was very small, I wanted to be on The New Zoo Revue. Does anyone remember that show?
