Hi everyone. I am just starting to plan our trip in Nov.16-21st. Can anyone tell me what the weather was like around this time last year? Also, for anyone who lives in the area has the weather so far this year been true to season? What I mean is, is it hotter or cooler now than normal? I know we can't predict the weather, but I'm just trying to get an idea on what to pack. We have gone twice this time before, but that was in 2000 & 2001. Both times it was alittle cool. This time not only will it be myself, DH & DD(5yo)but our son will be along with us and he will be 8mo at the time. TIA

It's generally a little brisk in the morning & after dark. I usually wear a light jacket that gets tied around my waist by mid day & then put back on after sunset. Just be prepared for anything, you can always layer if it's unseasonably cool. My normal uniform for the parks in Nov is comfy jeans & a tee shirt with the light jacket.
Here is my favorite site for Orlando weather, you can check it before you do your final packing.

I live close to the parks and last Novemebr was one of the coldest. That being said, I have never seen two winters alike since I have lived here. As a rule it is as posted, pleante during the day and light jacket or sweater in the eveiings.

That's seems a little strange to to me Cat because I was down for SSW Nov. 6-11, it was gorgeous and in the 90's. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised! I guess you never can predict!

We were there that week in 2001 and it was beautiful, high 70's to mid 80's during the day. Nights were going into the 50's but remember that it reaches that low about 4:00 a.m. We didn't even change into long pants for evenings. DH and DD would grab a jacket, but DS and I didn't even do that!

2002 we were there Thanksgiving Day for seven days and it was much cooler. Barely in the 70's during the day. Cooler in the shade Great for parks, but we did wear long pants and jackets in the evenings.

Just log on to accuweather when you start to pack. Just remember that when you're looking at the lows that they come in the wee hours of the morning. In 2001, I over packed thinking that it would be much cooler in the evenings than it really was!

After reading everyone's responses, you can be assured that the weather in November is predictably unpredictable!

Mid November on it was cold and we were getting the "cover the plants" warnings. First year I lived here, 1991, the furnace ran three days. Last winter it was on all the time. Late Oct. to April is why we live here, but like I said, never two alike.

I have three friends that come down from my home state in Feb. They spend 10 days here and we play Golf everyday. Always in the last two weeks of the month and we have played in 85 to 45 degress. Still better then what they return to and for you the rain has stopped.

Anyone here this past week had to been soaked several times and we are still in July. April and May are normaly very pleasent and this year the heat kicked in early.

Have to keep in mind Florida lays between to large bodies of water and we have gotten storms from two differnt directions at once.

We found the days to be very pleasant, although we had a couple of very warm days (when it felt very good to go to the water parks) and a chilly morning (requiring long pants). Since it is impossible to predict the weather, I would suggest packing layers. For each child I packed a few of t-shirts, a long-sleeved t-shirt, a few shorts, a pair of long pants (athletic style), and a sweatshirt. I tried hard to make sure everything would mix and match...and I planned on doing laundry. We were prepared for almost anything!

I usually go to WDW in the summer months but since I had a high risk pregnancy, I planned ours for Nov. Man was it cold and 1 saturday it rained all day. That was the worst I'd ever been in Florida. We had to stay at the hotel b/c I had a 2 month old preemie and didn't want her to get sick so far away from home.:(
We took the train so we all wore pants and sweatshirts and packed shorts. Well guess who had the honors of washing our only outfit everynight.:p .
