This year, the stranest thing we saw or i should say what i saw.

I ended up with a obession, with looking at all the water ie lakes and ponds.

Whilst walking along from Boardwalk to MGM, i happend to glance at the water and saw a turtle yep a large turtle.

Then the SSR water also had a turtle, then i happend to see loads in the water at DTD, there was a massive turtle and about 7 smaller ones, but they all were covered in moss, so DH videoed them as by the end of the holiday we all checked the water every time we wealked past.

And this got me thinking what other things do we see.

The strangest thing we saw was two children dressed as the twin towers at DTD on the first halloween after 9/11.
We thought it in poor taste but all the Americans were clapping so I guess we have different ideas of poor taste :confused3

:teeth: Two young kids pushing their Granny down Main Street after Wishes in their double buggy and her having a Cigeritte :rotfl2:
and she was no spring chicken :lmao:

Great question :wizard:

out of interest has anyone seen an alligator actually at wdw..

^ Nope; although my sister was really paranoid about seeing them at the Kennedy Space Center...

The strangest thing that I saw at Disney was my brother (Nearly) punching Chip and Dale after they snuck up on him! It was so funny to see him stop and say "Oh, hello" in a wierd voice. :lmao:

No alligators, but did see some deer in between the TTC and the entrance to magic kingdom.

I said DH they are not real they are machines that disney has put there to make you go ooooh look over there lol :rotfl2:

I would love to see an alligator though, i always look in the water surrounding the WDW

The strangest thing that we saw was a squirrel running through Magic Kingdom eating half of a hot dog :rotfl:

Driving to disney down the Poinciana Blvd, right in front of us, I saw a bald eagle swoop down and lift an armidilo straight off the ground and fly off with it.
It was damned impressive.

Yes we seen one in MK beside the hot dog stand at Frontierland
It was just lying that sleeping
A CM told us that there can be quite a few in the lake there at any one time
They take them out again

Found the photo
This was 2002

We were driving back to the All Stars and we saw an Armadillo too, it was so weird, it was the last thing we expected to see

Strangest?

Queueing up outside Animal Kingdom for the bag cheack and the guard that we saw was dressed as a woman, had a womans name but 'she' had an Adam's apple and hands bigger than mine!

Just goes to prove that Disney is an equal opportunities employer!

I've seen them (and turtles) in the lake at Celebration many times - does that count?

I went to Tokyo Disneyland when I was staying in Japan as the guest of some Japanese Girl Scouts (many years ago!) We had just come back from an international camp and so I was well used to being asked to sign things and have my photo taken.

Anyway, we were having a sit down in the park and a couple of girls came up and asked for an autograph and a photo with me and one of the other Brits. Of course we said yes but it wasn't until afterwards that my hosts told me that these girls weren't part of their troop and they had no idea who they were

So someone somewhere has a photo of me in their Disney album :confused3

On a similar tack...

My nephew first started walking when we were in DLP - it was so sweet and I didn't mind our reduced speed as I was pregnant with DD. He got a lot of attention and had a few pictures taken :sunny:

We saw 3 otters all at the same time basking in the sun around the lake at SSR all eating huge fish, they were so cute

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Last year we were lucky enough to be monorail co-pilots and we saw an alligator on the stretch from MK to Epcot the lovely CM Mike slowed down the monorail and we also saw deer and turkeys !! How cool was that!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Also walking back from DTD we saw a couple of Turtles near the junction of the Crossroads where there's a pond which had lots of fish and birds too :wizard: :wizard: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: A couple of years back we stayed at ASMovies and every morning we saw a cat which must have been 'employed' to keep out any rodent type critters it wouldn't come near guests so I guess it was trained like the animals at AK to respond to particular sounds/commands :thumbsup2

when we were on the paddle boat that goes around the lake in magic kingdom, as we got near to big thunder mountain railway we saw an alligator swimming towards the boat, it turned around and went back to its hide out!
another time while walking up to the bag check at MK we were all diverted as there was a snake on the ground with a cm standing over it!!

Saw some turtles at DTD, and also saw a gator in Frontierland like a previous poster. After a while of watching it I started watching the crowds reaction to it which was even funnier. Many people stopped walking to stare at it, and then just assumed it was a Disney animatronic. If it moved at all they jumped out of their skins!

I was once in the lazy river at typhoon lagoon, lying back with my eyes closed, and for some reason i opened my eyes and looked to the side to see a snake, you have never seen me freeze as much, then some man came with his cap and scoop it up and put it back in the trees.

This was the quickest i have ever moved to get out of the lazy river. :)

Was her name Patricia?
I think we saw the same CM at the International Gateway last December!

Not actually at Disney but, on our first day in Orlando back in 2004, we were walking down International Drive, gazing around us in awe at how huge and 'sparkly' everything was when this massive bald guy covered in tattoos pulled up at the lights in a convertible with a huge python slung round his neck. DH turned to me and said 'Only in America' :rotfl:
