What was the strangest thing you saw at Disney

At DLP once we were waiting for the parade on the benches near the central hub and the guy next to me swung his 6 year old boy over the fence where he proceeded to pee into the bushes not 2 feet away from us!! :confused3 . Like, there are no toilets in DLP?

I was once in the lazy river at typhoon lagoon, lying back with my eyes closed, and for some reason i opened my eyes and looked to the side to see a snake, you have never seen me freeze as much, then some man came with his cap and scoop it up and put it back in the trees.

This was the quickest i have ever moved to get out of the lazy river. :)

OMG you would have heard the screams back in the UK if I saw that!! Not sure if I ever want to go in the lazy river again now! :scared1:

Sorry but just returned and the strangest thing we saw was a cast member with a smile on their face.

Probably ticked off because Universal had given their staff a bigger pay rise!!

out of interest has anyone seen an alligator actually at wdw..
Yes in the Rivers of America. We saw it when we got off the River Boat during MNSSHP. When we showed a CM she said they get them all the time. We watch him try to catch a duck in the water, but he never got the duck.

OMG ~ I hope my DD doesn't read this thread, she is scared of Alligators, and as for the snake at the water park, I probably would've fainted :faint:

I am scared of alligators.. at Chester zoo they had some in the reptile house and can't go anywhere near it, It was the way it eyes stared out at every one, I was fine with the snakes however if I saw one at a water park I would of freaked. The sharks at blue planet did not bother me ether..just some thing about alligators.

Me too, the very thought of it is terrifying me! He put it "back" in the tree? So there's snakes in the trees?!?!?! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

We have turtles in the lake at Summer Bay, when we were there last year there were babies too - so sweet. There are also wild cats that live in the car parks.

Don't know if I can read the thread anymore, i was happy in my ignorance of snakes and alligators, feel sick to the stomach about anything to do with snakes, you know I'm going to study every tree in WDW from now on don't you? :guilty:

At MNSSHP in 2004 we saw a guy dressed as Tinkerbell, the worst thing was he had a beard! :lmao:

We also saw a snake near the entrance to Typhoon Lagoon. It was in the middle of the road and was about 4-5 feet long, mostly red in colour. As we stopped to get a closer look (from the safety of our mini-van!) some guy came roaring in towards the park and ran the poor thing over! At another water park (The Rapids in West Palm Beach) DD and I had an encounter with a Palmetto bug in the lazy river there. Think 5-inch long coackroach and you get the picture. I called over a female attendant and she promptly freaked out and called over another female colleague who then asked if I wouldn't mind removing it if she got me a net!! I fished it out and reached it to one of the girls but she ran off at speed so I gave it to a male attendant who had turned up to see what they were screaming about, and what does he do? Swings the net over his head and smashes the thing into the concrete!! Seems to me that being a wild crittur in Florida is a highly dangerous occupation! :teeth:

Donald Duck coming off the Monorail. It wasn't actually DD but a boy dressed up as him for MNSSHP. It was really weird seeing Donald's body and a young face sticking out of the mask.

I love all the critters you can see at Disney (and in Florida in general) We saw an alligator eating a fish on one of the golf courses.

Driving to disney down the Poinciana Blvd, right in front of us, I saw a bald eagle swoop down and lift an armidilo straight off the ground and fly off with it.
It was damned impressive.

OMG!!! My mum left our room early one morning to get a coffee refill and swore blind she's seen an armadillo in the hedgerow on the way back to our room, now, putting it kindly, she's half blind and completely daft so we thought she'd seen an old scrumpled up paper bag or something and teased her mercilessly for the rest of the holiday. She even made us all get up really early to go on an armadillo hunt! which just confirmed to us that she was mad as we didn't see any!

big apologies mum.

I too have seen an armadillo at Disney - in a hedge one evening at the Coronado Springs last year. I was really excited about this, I have never seen one before or since, but always look now.
