...that you ate at on your first trip to WDW?

Did you love it/hate it?
Did it become a family tradition?
or
Do you refuse to go within a hundred feet of the place?

My first was San Angel Inn at Epcot. DH and I did not like it at all. The food was dry and overly salted, just not good at all. We have not been back and that's been 7 years now.

The Pueblo Room in the Contemporary. Loved it. It's been long gone.

Ours was Sci-Fi. Sandwich was ok, burgers bleh. Ambience was a lot of fun so if we figured out the best things to eat we'd go back there. We were seated about 45-60 min after our ADR time and had Jedi Training scheduled next. I couldn't enjoy myself because I felt like we had to hurry, hurry, hurry.

Turned out fine, since we didn't dawdle. But I would be more inclined to go back if we had an early ADR and were seated sooner.

Akershus

It was my husband's birthday and we booked an early breakfast. When we got off the bus I realized we had forgotten the video camera and regular camera. I got back on the bus to head back to Music resort while the rest of my family leisurely strolled into Epcot. I ran to and from my resort room to get those cameras and then I ran to Akershus once I got off the bus. To say I was a hot mess when I arrived at the restaurant would be an understatement  It was a humid August day.

I'd like to try it again some day when I'm more relaxed. I honestly don't even remember the meal.

Our first official Disney ADR (not counting T. Rex) was Chef Mickey breakfast. We loved it and it was a great first for us. We won't likely do it again any time soon but that's just b/c we had the regular dining plan and I don't see us doing that again. We had "free" dining and upgraded it because we knew we'd have a ton of TS character meals, but it's just not likely to happen again.

BUT if we do have free regular dining I wouldn't stay away or anything!

Via Napoli we went with my grandparents I don't think they liked it much but DH and I loved it

Can't be sure if it was the first, but the first I remember is 50's Prime Time Café, which became a must-do when I travel there with my parents.

Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, back when it was a character meal. Loved the characters. I didn't like the food, but the rest of the family did.

We stopped doing character meals about 5 years ago. LTT had not become a tradition. I think we had done it one more time. But I'm the planner, and I didn't like the food, so we didn't do it much. ;) Once it was no longer characters, we didn't do it at all.

Interestingly, we do have lunch scheduled there in January, first time ever.

My first ever TS was with my girlfriend's parents at Marrakesh.

My first TS when I went with my wife (not the same girl) for our honeymoon was Grand Floridian Café -- we were late because our flight was delayed and stressed -- (we had the front desk call to delay our ADR) -- When we got there, they had us wait (we thought it was because we were late and they were trying to squeeze us in, but it's because they were covering the table with Mickey confetti -- we were pixie dusted (even brought us a mini-cake with a chocolate medallion despite us being severely full from our 3-course [DxDDP] meal).

We enjoyed the meal, though we weren't blown away -- though we certainly loved the experience -- but we've never been back.

(Probably save it for our 10-year anniversary trip or something..)

Ours was Marrakesh. I would love to go back, and probably will at some point, but my oldest hates rhat style of food so it will have to be on a trip that she doesn't go.

My very first meal was in the restaurant that was located where Tony's is now. Its so long ago (1975) that I don't remember the name. But the Monte Cristo sandwich was memorable

2010 Ohana breakfast.. Had free dining at AllStar so pretty much ate all burgers lol but we splurged for the ohana breakfast.. It was awesome. We still go every trip :)

The Crystal Palace (lunch I think)....

The food is fine and my kids LOVED the characters. We've been back once or twice over the years and have a reservation for before the park opens this January. (I have to say I'm super excited because we've never done ANY reservation at any park before park opening!)

Spring Break 1990--uncle and aunt took us on vacation. We ate in the Contemporary. Big white walls surrounded our large table (party of 14). I had grilled shark. No idea what the name of the restaurant was, but we could see the monorail before we were taken in to our table.

May 2010: Our first family vacation. Whispering Canyon dinner. DH was amazed at the amount of food in the platter. (We were on DxDDP)

The Crystal Palace....before it was a character meal

It was sort of a cafeteria line?

You ordered, then sat and the food was brought to you? It was 25 or so years ago

Hollywood Brown Derby, and I fell in love with the Cobb Salad. It's an absolute MUST!

I remember that!!! They called it a buffeteria! We had dinner there a couple of times when it was still served that way. LOOOOONG before the characters took up residence.

Ohana. It was the first WDW trip for my husband and I for a late honeymoon gift to ourselves. We both grew up with DL. We spent all day in MK and then took the boat to the Poly. Drank rum punch out of pineapples, had a seat by the windows during Wishes and had a wonderful meal. It's now our special place and must-do each trip.

My first was Whispering Canyon for dinner. It was good but we'd rather go for breakfast. Breakfast is one of our favorites on property.
