What was the DCA private event 10/20?

We were in the parks 10/20, 10/22 & 10/23. Insanely busy days BTW. On 10/20, DCA closed at 7:00 for a private event. We saw WOC at 7:00 (from the front of the yellow circle, it was an awesome spot). After WOC we were forced into DTD and had to go through security (one table open) to get back to the espanade. It took us over an hour to get back to Park Vue Inn. Craziness, what was going on?

There was a service recognition party for CMs in DCA. I think that was that night.

I was going to ask this also..we were also there that night and saw the 7:00 PM WOC and saw the characters and red carpet as we were being herded out (mooooo).
