Plateau?

Seems like I've been stuck at 23 lbs forever (like before xmas). I've drank my water, clean horse stalls, snowmobiled, sledded (is that a word) with the boys and all my other usual daily stuff but........... I think it's time to tell life to get out of my way. There hasn't been 10 minutes that I can do the WATP tapes or my elliptical. I still have to finish the boys playroom so I can reclaim my house. If I sit down to read a book with them they have to wake me up so I just don't sit. Well if nothing else springs comming gotta got tap those maple trees (all 1300 of them) That will boost those little buggers into moving off my butt.
Thanks for listening

My body seems to be comfortable at 155 lbs - I always struggle to get beyond that point and maintain it. One thing I do is change my carb intake day to day until I get over it. That way my body doesn't become comfortable with a certain carb count. I've seen people do this with WW's points as well - It's called the Wendi plan.

Good Luck to you! Plateaus Stink!

OMG - I'm exhausted just listening to your day!!!! Don't forget that 23 pounds is just excellent! Pat yourself on the back for that - and yes - you deserve to have the time to do your tape.

I'm at it right now..I really haven't budged too much since christmas. I was thinking of staying with the WW, but going the lower carb way. They have a booklet that explains the 3 different types of food plans. Maybe lowering the carbs will kick start the weight loss again.

I am a plateauER (is that aword LOL) anyway, I have been the same weight since before xmas as well.......Now I havent been sticking to my plan on the weAkends but..........When I lost all my weight (all 36 pounds) I was going off on the weAkends then too. So basically I havent changed anything!
Anyway, I have heard about changing your carb intake as well......except when I tryed it, I went all out! lol. and took it to faar. but that theory does make sense.
As far as exercise...........(tigger dont take this as an insult ) but..make time! I too conside myself a very busy mother of four. Two are in school two are home with me, although, I dont work a full time job, I am very busy with these little rascals of mine. everything from PTA to coaching softball to one very sick kid who is in constant need of care (meds, doctor appt. etc) anyway what I have done, is I do my WATP tape at night. I make it the very last thing I do! As much as I hate to do this, it is realistically the only time I have to do it. One of my resolutions was to get to bed earlier but, now that I do may tape at night I go to bed at about 12, but found I can function on that amount of sleep.

Typically, I like to have the kids bathed, read to, teeth and everything else by nine.....That almosy never happens but no matter what time I tuck them in and no matter how tired I am, I do my tape. Sometimes, I have to force myself to push play but and heres the BIG BUT.....(not my big but lol)...... I ALWAYS feel good afterwards. ALWAYS.
I have to say tigger by the sound of it, you sound like me, you like to get it all done and love a challenge. If you make it part of your daily routine no matter what time. it will become one fo those things that you just have to do in order to have your completed.

Good luck

I'll be happy to see 155 (this 165 stinks big time) Carbs are the hardest for me but I have severely limited them. No more soda (okay 1 a week sometimes) Pasta 2 times a month, lo carb bread if I have bread at all. I've been doing portion control and it's worked really well. thanks
Harambe I could make you more tired. This spring we'll be getting 2 pigs (meat I know most people can't raise things) And at least 1 beef cow (maybe 2) and the boys want a few chickens. Guess I'll be busy building barns. Along with the 2 garages we have to build this summer.

Thanks it's nice to know I'm not alone.

I wish I could go to bed at 12 and still function but getting up at 5:15-30. I require 7 hrs. DS is 5 most nights he still get 11-12 hours or he's grumpy so he's in bed at 6 and light out at 6:30. DS whos 3 on the other hand does NOT require sleep! I swear he's the energizer bunny. some nights he's asleep at 7 somenights it's 10. I'd love to exercise before bed but then I'm revved up and can't sleep. If I can just haul my but out of bed a 5:15 I have 15 min for the elliptical. Maybe now that it's light in the am it will help. ( I really hate winter daylight hours) I used to do my tapes at 1:30 when I got home from work but as I said life got in the way. Ds 5 had to have a rough start at school (class bullly) then a major ear infection which caused hearing loss by the end of NOv we had apt for tubes which got put in a month early. that put in me in the middle of all the Dec b-days. Then I was just totally off track. Now with having to get those trees tapped for sugaring ( DH's business) and find time for those last minute playroom details it's been 11 before I get to bed.
Your right I do thrive on challenges and that's how I get going again. Now that springs here I know I'll get going again. Thanks

I've sort of been on an intentional plateau for several months. We had so many trips planned that I aimed at maintaining.

Now, I have a wedding to plan and attend, I need to get myself back on track and closer to goal.
