ok, got lucky and came into a little extra year end cash, so I thought that I would ask about upgrading. We are going Feb 20 - 25 2007, staying at the GC, in a resort view room. 2 possible upgrades (within reason?) would be 1 bedroom suite, or Concierge.

What would you do and why??

Thanks...

concierge, we aren't big eaters, so the club food is really almost all we need. special and economical!

I will say that their suites are on the small end and all the way at the end of a journey down the hallways. I'm sure there are closer ones to the elevator, but we always get these ones right above the World of Disney store. If you plan on staying in the room very much then go with the suite. I wouldn't go for conceirge just because I don't think it is worth the money. Instead of both, I would stay an extra day or two, or go to a couple more nice dinners. The suites have a living room and DVD player, but that is basically it. There is no kitchen items except small frig. and the service isn't any better. But if you want it to just do it once then go for it.

Between those two I would be pick conc. Because, it would provide our family with some meals/ snacks/ drinks, allowing us to spend money normally spent on those items on other things.

But, if I didnt have to stick with just those two things I would: Add more time on to the trip. Or if that wasnt possible I would take a neat tour or two (walk in walts for example) or reserved seating for F!.

Of the two, I would pick concierge. The concierge lounge at GCH is wonderful as is the food. We are not big eaters either so we only end up buying one meal a day when we do concierge. (I think the concierge at GCH is the best of the three resort hotels, BTW.)

Also, we enjoy spending time at the lounge as well. The parks will be closing early in February (DL at 8 p.m.) so it is nice to spend time there. We don't feel we need a suite since it feels that our room is 'expanded' by visiting the lounge.

Enjoy your trip whatever you decide to do! I personally always upgrade to concierge when given the chance.
