What types of sandwiches at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe (Norway)?

I saw the menu for the CS location in Norway, and the combo meal with the open face sandwich, soup (though it will be sooo hot in July!) and dessert looks great! What types of sandwiches do they have there? It really looks great, and it is so close to the entrance of the WS and looks not too far away from Test Track either!

We plan to FP Test Track when we arrive at Epcot (DH & DS1 will go get FP's while DS3 and I ride Soarin' at park opening if DS3 is tall enough) and hopefully hit it just before eating lunch.

Originally we were thinking of the CS in Morrocco but it is so far away in the WS! Mexico (first country in WS) looks like standard fast food Mexican fare and Norway is right next to Mexico!

I think they only have 2 types of open-faced sandwiches. They have a roast beef one and a salmon one. There might be a third, but I know that those are 2 of them they always have.

Oh wow, those sound really good. I guess this is the only savory thing they really have though, like for a meal? Everything else looks like pastries.

What about for kids? I don't recall a kids' menu there.

The sandwiches are no longer open faced but do still taste great. There is salmon and egg, roast beef and I think ham.

The pciture was taken last October but the sandwiches were still the same style in May.

Wow!! They look so delish!

If there is no kids menu, then I can get one of these sandwiches for my boys with DS3's dining plan CS credit, right?

July? A word of advice from someone who was in the World last September. Find a CS that has air conditioning.

Which CS locations in the WS have air conditioning? We prefer something not too far from Test Track, since we will probably be coming from there (getting FPs for it so we can ride it last in FW).

Electric Umbrella and The food court area in The Land. The bakery in Norway is inside but the very small eating area is covered and outside. The Liberty Inn in America is air conditioned.

I will caution you that the walk from Test Track over the Norway can be a very hot one.

You're going to find that when it is hot convince and air conditioning is much more important than good food. Shoot, when it is that hot, you're not that hungry anyway. An air conditioned break for lunch was key for us. It gave us a chance to cool off and regroup. I don't think I could have made it through the day without it.

That said, I'd go with Electric Umbrella since it is closest to TT. I wouldn't even want to add the extra walking over to the land just for a better place to eat. It is just to darn hot to go chasing food and I love food.

I love food too! But you are so right about the air conditioning being more important. Is Electric Umbrella any good though? We are looking for more than just the run of the mill burgers and fries most of the time. For dinner we are going to Biergarten in Germany, after an afternoon break at the resort of course! I will check out the menu for Electric Umbrella online. Thanks for the advice!

We ate lunch there on our 2006 trip. Our dining review with pics is here.

Bottom line: Soup good. Desserts VERY good. Sandwiches--well, not good. Maybe they're better now that they've changed them. We've gone there since for a snack, but I don't think we'd use a CS credit.

They have never had ham when I was in there. Because I don't like salmon and don't really care for roast beef. I've looked for food many times in there other than those choices, and would have loved ham!

They used to do turkey and ham back in 2006 :) Perhaps it is still turkey that they do??
