DH and I are looking at mattresses. My sister has a Serta Perfect Sleeper Pillow Top that is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

We were looking at Simmons Beautyrest - not sure what type it was now but it is the type where you can't feel person's movement next to you. DH has restless leg syndrome:( which is really annoying and I want to not notice this when I am trying to sleep.

Any recommendations on mattresses to look at? Thanks.

bed for 23 years......we love it......we have had to get two bladders and that is it......we went to Disney and slept in their beds and they were not bad.....for someone that is used to water ....either that or we were plum tuckered out.......good luck in your quest for a good nights sleep

I have a Select Comfort. Its actually a remote controlled "air" mattress with a pillow top. DH can make his side any way he wants, and ditto for me. I bought it because of my back problems. Love it! :Pinkbounc DS and DIL just bought one too, and they love theirs...he loves a rock solid feel and she likes the mattress softer, so it is great for them also.

I have had a water bed for the past 6 years--90% motionless. I really like it, its so warm to get into when its chilly. Dh doesnt like it, wants to get a "real" bed. We will prob get a pillow top, most likely a Serta. I tried a few out not to long ago and they were very comfy.

We also have a Select Comfort air mattress. It is wonderful and I do so much better sleeping on it than I do most other mattresses out there. The only coil mattress that I have slept on in the last few years that I can remember finding to be wonderful were the ones used for the heavenly beds at the Swan. Good luck searching for a mattress!

Kingsdown pillow top. DONT BUY ONE. The pillow top sinks with your body and you wind up with 2 huge indents and a hump in the middle.

We bought a Simmons Beautyrest PillowTop about 5 years ago. It is still the most comfortable bed in the world. We have a yellow lab who likes to sleep on the bed and even her walking around does not disturb us. Once DH jumped on the bed at Boardwalk the way he does at home after I was laying down. At Boardwalk I bounced right off the bed and onto the floor. Not at home! Thank goodness!!

We've had one of the memory foam mattresses for about a year. It has a more solid core and then softer foam that reacts to your body heat over that. When you get in bed, it conforms to your body shape. I love it. If you want more information, I can get the name of the company from my DH. I will warn you that they are more expensive than a conventional mattress.

We have a Somma air mattress (king size). We shopped for a few years before finally settling on this on.

My side is softer than DH's side. We are both happy.

We bought a Simmons Beautyrest one year ago. We LOVE IT!!!!!!! It has not sagged or indented, and you don't need to flip it. We got a firm (which I thought I wouldn't like) and we sleep much better now! I highly recommend it.

BTW, we bought it from 1-800-Mattress (1800mattress.com) and we called at 9pm on a Saturday night. It was delivered the next day (sunday) at noon!!! They were very professional and the mattress was in perfect condition!

4Greatboys, is your waterbed hard or soft sided? Did you know you can get pillowtop softsided waterbeds??? We got rid of our old hardside for the pillow top, and it's fantastic. It's the best of both worlds, it's got dual bladders and dual heaters, and it's soooooo comfortable.

Select Comfort for me too...WOuld not have anything else, ever again. It was worth every penny. DH likes soft matresses, and I need firm for my back. This is perfect we have the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend it.

I sleep on NAILS; my DW thinks that I'm crazy, but it prepares me for dealing with some of the Bigots and Wild Animals on the DIS:D :D :D :D ............

a futon on a regular bed frame. It's ok it's really firm

We have a soft-sided full flotation waterbed. I think we are probably the only family in town that has 3 water beds. It has been 20 years for us, 14 for DS and 4 for DD. We all love them.

Elgerber - where can I find the pillow top, dual heater mattresses? They sound great!

We bought a Sterns and Foster pillow top last year and I just LOVE it! We had had one cheapo for a few years and a Somma watermattress before that, and I hated both. Plus we got a great deal on it, $599 instead of the $1300 price!:) It just had a slight scuff mark on the end, and so they had it marked down since the original buyer didn't want it. Boy, am I glad I ain't so 'picky'.:)

21 years with a waterbed for us as well. It is a full floatation mattress and we are on our 2nd bladder. We keep our windows open even in the winter (and tonight it is like -15 C. out so our room is really cold. Our bed on the other hand is wonderful.

Select Comfort Sleep Number and I'll never buy a coil mattress again....:D

Another Select Comfort owner here. We got this bed in March after I had been sleeping in the recliner for over a year. The cancer in my spine prevented me from lying down. I now sleep so well I should be a walking commercial. I can adjust it as needed. My parents are about to buy one for them, they've heard how happy I am.
