For Sesame Place, it says you get family discounts for admission when you buy the Big Bird or Super Grover Pass. Anyone know what they are?

50% off for up to 6 tickets. There was a previous post about this and they actually called to find out.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but can you tell me a bit about Sesame Place? We bought the Platinum passes at Williamsburg that include all Busch Parks. We'd like to try to hit them all in the two years.

I've read the website for the park, but would love to hear from someone who goes there. Also, I haven't checked a map yet for the exact location. Can you tell me approximately where in the state it's located?

Thanks,

Sheila

Sesame Place is in Pennsylania, about 30-45 minutes from Philadelphia. Sesame Place is mainly for younger kids and their parents. The park has a family roller coaster, two flat rides, some playground-like areas, a few shows, and a lot of water rides. It's about 1/4 rides and playground and 3/4 water park.

We took DD4 when she was 2 and she just adored this place. Alot of water rides and shows, its like an all day sesame street live show. They have lots of characters and they even have character meals. There is an ELMO's World Show and their "Main Street" is actually a replica of Sesame Street, its got pretend store fronts and the big city Stair stoop. It was a lot of fun and it is close enough to do Six Flags NJ the same weekend, thats what we did we did a long weekend a day a sesame and 1 day at Six Flags NJ and a day at Six Flags Safari, a good time! Good Luck touring all the Anheiser Parks, have fun!

If you go to Sesame try and go during a week day, and not a Friday. We just went last week and the place was mobbed and people were so rude and pushy, one girl was trying to start a fight with me because I accidentally got her foot with my stroller even after I apologized and then a man had to be escorted out for fighting, now last year we went I believe it was around June 4th during the week and the place was empty and we did the character breakfast and we had such a wonderful time and went back again for the halloween but then you don't get to do any water rides cause it gets colder at that time of year, but it was cute and we are local so it wasn't a big deal.

Just wanted to add:
Sesame is a very small park, will not take you long at all to complete so I would plan other things to do in the area also if you are planning to come from far away. There are other parks here, like Hershey Park, Six Flags, Knoebels, Dorney Park, and Camel Beach waterpark. They aren't VERY close to Sesame but you could do a day of Sesame and take off for someplace else.

my $.02 re: sesame place... we loved it, but be careful where you stay! fifteen minutes away there are some "bad" parts of town... we left our hotel (best western? days inn? it was a name brand hotel) after one night because we did not feel safe at all... i would not stay anywhere that was more than 3 mins from the park because once you get off the "strip" it goes downhill quickly!

be prepared for a water park though! we loved it a lot, but it's predominantly water, and many many families were showing up w/out swimsuits expecting a theme park and were disappointed...

enjoy! :flower:

We live less than 20 minutes from this park, and decided to get season passes ("Passports") this year for DD13 and me.

It is not just for really little children, although they will be certain to enjoy it. There is a lot of Sesame Street theming, characters have frequent appearances for hugs and photos, and the parades are fun for little ones, too.
There is also a little pretend street with a store and a fire engine kids can play in/on. They will like the shows, and there are some water areas just for little children.

DD and I like the different water slides. There is one where a smaller child and an adult can ride together in a double raft, and there is actually a maximum height requirement for the child riding in the front of the raft; if you are over a certain height, they make you ride in a single raft.

The bigger water slides have a minimum height requirement. I think it is about 44 inches, which excludes toddlers and very little children; they have, in my experience, been very strict about enforcing the height restrictions. Of course, these rules are for the safety of the park's guests.

If you are in the area, I would recommend guests to take advantage of the "after 4" pass. It is only 23.99 if you arrive after 4 o'clock, vs 39.99 if you arrive earlier in the day. The crowds thin out about 5:30-6:00pm; of course, the lines are much shorter. The lines are also short during parades (just like in WDW!), so my older child and I take advantage of that.

BTW, if staying in the area, I would recommend a trip to New Hope or to Peddler's Village in Lahaska, PA, for some great shopping!!
