Inspired by the recent discussions of bandwidth and image sizes, what type of connection are you on? Dialup? Cable? DSL? Something else?

I GOTTA have my DSL! I don't have to worry about sharing bandwidth with other people on the block if I were to go cable, and I can use the phone while i'm online going ZOOM ZOOM compared to dial-up.

DSL here too. Have to have phone and internet at the same time.

CAble modem here. DSL is not available to us.

DSL for me too, and we also have a wireless network so I can sit downstairs on my laptop and surf the 'net without any wires holding me down :)

I've heard satalite is good but expensive. There are some people in my hometown that use it there though because DSL and Cable aren't available to them. You can use satalite just about anywhere in the world.

I used satellite a long time ago (2 years ago) and it worked good except when bad weather came in it got dodgy.

DIALUP. I'm happy with 56K. Surfing is not my thing, and I employ few downloads.

I have ADSL at home, and I'm on a pretty fast LAN at work. :)

At home -- dialup (I'm rarely online at home). :)

We have a cable modem and since I sometimes complain of it being slow, I know I would never be happy with a dial up. LOL I've used dial up on vacations once or twice and hated it. We beta tested cable modems in our area when we moved in 8 years ago and have had it ever since. We are thinking of switching to DSL though to save some $$ since they are offering deals. I've left the decision up to DH.

I refuse to even try at home. I'd rather go to the dentist.

Cable. I can't stand dial-up. We got a good deal by getting cable TV, too.
