What TV Programmes From The UK Do You Like?

We tivo and watch the English Premiership every week. It's not a television program per se but it is on every week, it's in England and we do watch it.

dh = Arsenal
ds = Chelsea
me = Man Utd (but do enjoy watching Lampard easy on the eyes :thumbsup2 )
dd = no preference

I HONESTLY cant understand UK English, it aint no good like us here!;)

Anyhoooooooooo... some parts of Absolutely Fabulous were funny...but really I had a hard time understanding them...nuances, accents, etc. But when I did understand...I liked!

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the old 'Carry On..." movies. They use to show them on Saturday afternoons on CH 11 in NY when I was growing up! Very very silly....my kind of humor!:thumbsup2

I needed a translator for "East Enders".

Love Life on Mars. Heard that they are re-doing the show for an american audience.

AB FAB
Blackadder
The Vicar of Dibley
Are You being Served?
Ballykissangel

Wow so some UK TV is actually popular :rotfl:

I hatehatehate Ab Fab, Are you being served, fawlty towers, ballykissangel, cash in the attic...yuk.

I don't tend to watch British TV. I don't watch much TV but I watch:

Neighbours (Australia)
Simpsons (US)
Family Guy (US)
Lost (US)
ANTM (US)

AB FAB was absolutely fabulous! Would love Patsy and Eddy for neighbors! Oh yeah! :banana:

I love MI-5. There is one that isn't mentioned that I used to watch back in the 70's. It came on right before Monty Pyton (when Monty was played on the local Public Broadcasting Station) and was called "No Honestly".

We don't have BBC America any more, but when we did I used to like to watch Changing Rooms and Ground Force.

Keeping Up Appearances cracks me up :)

Oh, and The Office, of course!!

I used to love to watch those, too. I had a crush on Tommy from Ground Force and Laurence from Changing Rooms.

I like old Blackadder and Father Ted, too.

Years ago there was a show called May to December. I got hooked when I was in London on vacation. I wish they would put it on dvd.

Currently, I can't wait for the next series/season of Waking the Dead.

I also love Waiting for God.

Have all of Black Adder on tape. I really need to splurge on the DVDs

oh, I just remembered one more. I got totally hooked on Meet the Braithwaites....and then they pulled it. argggh. I had to look up recaps online to find out what happened in the end.

I like How Clean is Your House! I can't believe how dirty some peoples houses are!!! I also like Coupling.

Adder: "What do you have for C?"
Assistant (can't remember his name): "A big blue wobly thing with fish in it." :rotfl2:

Baldrick...he cracks me up :rotfl:

Ink and Incapability was the name of that episode I believe. And Hugh Laurie is HYSTERICAL as King George, George, etc.

And from Black Adder the Third:

Mrs. Miggins: The Scarlet Pimpernel, Mr. Blackadder! He's so exciting, don't you think?

Blackadder: Actually, I think he's the most over-rated human being since Judas Iscariot won the AD31 Best Disciple Competition.

:teeth:

Between UK Whose Line and Doctor Who I'm pretty happy(does anyone here in the US show Top Gear?)

I don't think anyone has mentioned my favorite: Most Haunted. I am addicted to this show and watch the episodes over and over again!
