The whole "Pod" thing has really run it's course for me. Everything is a stinkin' "Pod".

Next? ;)

I don't know anything else that is a "pod" other than the actual "pods" :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

nano, shuffle, etc...the same brand different model.

My trendy thing that needs to go is Hot Topic stores....now everyone thinks they are gothic for shopping there, yet it is so far from gothic it is laughable!!!

iPod, my DH's classes for work are called "pods", heck even Disney is in on the "pod" thing - have you been on Mission Space? The little ride vehicles are freakin' PODS!

Even as I type "pod" and look at it a few times - the whole word even looks stupid. :rotfl:

Saggy baggy pants. I can't for the life of me figure out how that trend has held on for so many years :confused3.

And brace yourself, it's still got some life in it. DD's boyfriend works at Express for Men, and they HAVE to wear the newest, upcoming fashions, and saggy, baggy is still hot, hot, hot. :confused3 But I agree - it's GOT to go soon. ;)

the other 2 "pods" you mention have nothing to do with trendy...they have always been called that. And actually at my work our pods are called quads.

LOL-are you in high school foolish? Back when I was in high school-OMG 6 years ago now-we thought Hot Topic was for posers and we avoided it like the plague. Now that I am a hip woman with money, I find some of the clothes to be very cute. I just bought a work jacket and vest the other day.

What trend do I think needs to stop now? How about those Limited Too stores? Half of that crap looks like your trying to dress your daughter as a tiny hooker. No offense is anyone here shops there. I also don't like the shirts that look like a lingere top. Get rid oft hose-something new please.

Well, I guess I've been living in a cave, because I just noticed stuff being called that now. ;) Thank you for getting me into the 21st century. :)

Reality TV

I totally agree! I've always told DH that these shows are picking up the pace to the downward spiral of humanity. Most of them enourage meaness rather than being nice.

believe me you would rather see me in baggy clothes than tight wranglers!!!!

It's a taste you either grew up with or were before it and just don't get. Same as me, I for one think it looks uncomfortable to be dressing like a cowboy..but you know it's thier choice. Same with suit and ties all the time....sometimes you need to be comfortable.

gwene i'm 29, but have hung out with some of the "goth" crowd for over 15 years....it's funny when you see kids today say they are goth, but in the same sentence say they got the clothes from Hot Topic....please!!!!!

gwene I guess I say this because I have worked with haunted houses for that many years, and that's a majotiry of what you get working there. It's not like I am one, but watching how real goths act and dress, you can easily tell the "posers". Yes they have some good clothes, but like I said it has become trendy to become a hot topic "goth".

If you're buying Hot Topic clothing because it's cute and you like it that's one thing. I love it for retro stuff.

But buying it to think you're punk or goth is another. If one is buying goth/punk clothing at Hot Topic they still are posers.

And no, I am not in high school.

I think the super low rise jeans and clothing that sexualizes children needs to end.

Long hair and tight t-shirts on guys.

I mean I'm not gay, but I can't stand to see that.

I didn't know I was trendy, I think of myself as far from it...I thought I was just out of shape...thanks for the new outlook...lol

Oh no! Can't touch that! I'm a sucker for a long-haired, rocker type guy!

Along the lines of reality TV, specifically how about those reality shows on MTV? Such as My Super Sweet 16, Next, Date My Mom...the people on those shows always seem so fake it just drives me crazy.

Also...those BIG hoop, and chandelear type earrings. I suffered through those in the early 90's. I can't believe they have come back.

I meant no offense. That was just my immediate response to "skinny girls", since I have been called that all my life and didn't realize I was a trend to be done away with :p. I like people of all shapes and sizes ::yes::.
