What treats to bring back?

I have a family member who is at Disneyland (today, in fact) for her birthday... she's driving back home tomorrow & will be stopping in the park before she leaves to buy some special Disney treats to bring back home.

What should I have her get? Those Mickey shaped rice krispie treats come to mind... last time she brought home those and some beignets. I'm not big on Tigger Tails and she won't be able to bring back any Dole Whip , but she's got a big Ziploc container to fill up with treats!

Any suggestions?

Oh you have got to try the Caramel Apples with nuts!! They travel well. I just got two last Friday, and we just finished them today. Yummy!!! We cut out little slices and have them for dessert for the few days after they get home.

The big Mickey shaped sourdough bread.
ANY caramel apple.
Kettle corn.
Lots of yummy things @ Marceline's or Pooh Corner - whatever looks good!
:goodvibes

Yes I forgot about the sourdough bread. My DD14's favorite. They travel well. too.

spiderdust You can purchase them inside DCA. Near the end of park closing they usually set up a cart near the entrance. Got to get there in time. They sell out of the Mickey Sourdough pretty quickly. There are the traditional rounds there, too. I can't remember where they sell them in the park. Anyone??

Apple pie caramel apples!! YUM!!!! And I LOVE the English Toffee at DL, it's sooooooooooooooo good.....the bread is fun and I like to pair it with some Princess pasta. :)

fudge!!! oh and i agree with the krispie treats. But i like the vanilla ones... not the chocolate dipped ones

I'll second that, but be sure you buy it at the Candy Palace, not at DCA's candy shop, where they sell an English Toffee that has Kissimmee, Florida on the label and isn't as good. The Candy Palace version was made right there, and you can taste the freshness!

Dumb question...but is there really Princess pasta that you can buy? That sounds so cute!

Coconut macaroons drizzled with chocolate from Blue Ribbon Bakery!! :lovestruc

I've seen the mickey sourdough at the little fruit stand in the farm area near where the sourdough tour is but on the side closer to the Bug's Land area. I think it's right next to the pin store (PT Flea's?).

Yes, tell me about this Princess pasta too! princess:

Me three!

And I second the fudge suggestion!

Me four! :)

Totally agree...the fudge rules is awesome. And the Macaroons and the Mickey Crispy....

LOL really?? You guys haven't seen the Princess pasta?? It's in the Market on Main Street, where you can get coffee or hot chocolate. Inside they've got dry goods too, walk to the back and that's where I got the Princess pasta last time. It was pink and everything. LOL We got that and the Mickey Head Bread when we went without the girls once, when we got home we did a Disney Dinner with our pasta and bread. :)

And yes, make sure when you're buying candy it does not have the Kissimmee sticker on it, buying it fresh is so much better!!!!! As for fudge, try the pnut butter cup fudge....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Sadly, I did not know about it! But then again, I am a major newbie, as our first trip to DLR was a couple of weeks ago - is that enough of an excuse? :rotfl: There is still so much to learn about! So much shopping, so little time! :lmao:

And I am embarrassed to say, I have a ds, so the princess pasta will be for me! :rotfl: We are hopefully planning on going back in Dec. so I hope I can pick some up then...and the Mickey bread too, as I did not know about that either! :confused3

Are there any dry goods that a boy would like? I get ds the alphabet pasta from Trader Joe's which he loves, but it would be neat to bring something back from DLR, and do a fun Disney dinner like you did! (and then I can keep the princess pasta all to myself :rotfl2:)

oooh how cool...its pink too!! I will have to check that out week after next. Thank you!

I am totally getting that when DH and I go next month w/o our girls. Then will surprise them with it for dinner once we are home. Thanks for the fun idea! :goodvibes

Pinkblush, I think I remember seeing some Mickey pasta too....but not the last time I looked. Of course the last time I looked was in June and they may have just been out at that time. Sometimes I'm glad I have girls, I got the Princess hot chocolate so I could put the tins in my kitchen, the girls did drink most of it but I had some too. LOL I also got the Mickey lemonades, which were gross but I really just wanted the tins. :)
