Hi all,

I am getting ready to make shirts with my Girl Scouts getting ready for our trip in June. We have light medium blue 50/50 shirts (got them at Michael's), but I am not entirely sure what kind of paper to get. I know that I need the dark transfer paper, but not sure of the brand. What works best for 50/50 poly/cotton shirts? I also need to look at inexpensive... this is a Girl Scout troop after all!

Any help and/or advice is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

45 days until I take my Girl Scouts to the World!
... and we sold A LOT of cookies to get there!!!

if your printer uses standard ink, get the stuff from ebay that is mentioned here (sorry, don't remember who has it, but I know the seller is mentioned on this board)

if your printer uses pigment based ink, use TransferMagic. it is expensive, but the best price i've seen is on transfermagic(dot)com

the ebay paper does NOT work with pigment based ink. trust me on this one.

What is pigment based ink? How do you know if your printer uses it?

I have an HP Inkjet. I use HP Inkjet print cartridges. I'm reading the box of the ink cartridge and I can't find anything about pigment based ink.

Thanks :sunny:

they usually have different names than the standard dye based ink.

Epson calls their pigment ink DuraBrite Ultra

I don't think HP has a pigment ink yet. When I called them to ask, they had no clue what I was talking about.
